NSW Blues side named for Origin I

Farah has not let them down to date and until he does deserves to hold his position.

You're not concerned with him only playing 23 mins in the 33 days leading up to origin? I think he'll need a break at some stage.

Getting 80 mins out of Farah is a big ask. They needed someone like josh reynolds on the bench

I agree a backup hooker might help, but they tried Reynolds in that role once before and he was woeful.

Hi guys

I realize it doesn't matter now….. BUT

Does anyone know if Teddy would have been the NSW fullback, had he NOT been injured ? Just good to know what the selectors and Laurie were thinking and good for Teddys confidence moving forward.. I guess Teddy himself
Would know maybe.

Is there any official word from Laurie/ selectors or will we never know because he wasn't considered in the end ?

Just like to know to avoid speculation

I'm concerned because Moylan is also a debutant, could it be that Teddy could miss the boat or have to rely on an injury to get another chance now. I can't imagine them dropping Moylan after one game if Teddy is fit ( unless he has an absolute shocker) But would have been great if they said to Moylan , you're just in until Tedesco is fit.. But as I said above they probably didn't consider Teddy a lock or so far ahead of the others, so anyone could jump the queue now just like Moylan seemingly has.. Nothing against Moylan but I rate Teddy as the best full back at the moment, even though I'm biased of course... Just hope Teddy can get fit and firing and make his debut this series.

Thoughts ?

Crap side. The only benefit is that the Qld side will include Myles, Guerra and a bunch of people bused in from the Hervey Bay nursing home. Will suggest that the standard of the game will be about equal to what was even on Saturday, but it be close and people will be falling over themselves to to about the origin battle

Bet NSW wish they had some of the best players in the game coming from Hervey Bay nursing home Harvey

Gee I thought they were picking the team on current form.
Michael Ennis deserves to be there.

Yep, should've just picked the Chronulla halves as well.
When is Wade Graham gonna get a shot too?

I would have gone down that path. I think that would have been very astute, a little brave and a worthy decision. Still, if A Reynolds is the man, then he deserves it.

TYSON Frizell and Josh Morris have been dropped from the Blues 17-man squad as NSW coach Laurie Daley finalises his side ahead of Origin One next week.

Daley broke the news to the players before their first training session this morning.

Both Frizell and Morris will travel back to Sydney and will now be available for their respective clubs this weekend.

The news means Andrew Fifita is set to take his place on the Blues interchange with Walker, Tamou and Klemmer likely to join him.

So Walker gets the other bench spot…hmmm
