NSW changes

I reckon they should just select the WT side as most are eligible and they know the NSW game plan of last night inside out, having played it for eleven rounds now.

On second thoughts, just give take Taylor as coach,he is the master of that style of football and could perfect it for them.

Tupou
Fifita
Hodkinson
Cordner

IN
Morris
Mansoor
Gallen
Austin
Lewis

Line up
1\. Dugan

11\. Scott
12\. Hoffman
13\. Gallen

14\. Jackson
15\. Merrin
16\. Lewis
17\. Klemmer

Half the side need to go. QLD might have dads army, but NSW have half a team of hacks.

Toupu
Hoppa
Pearce
Hodkinson
Jennings
Fifita

None are up to Origin this yr

We lost by a point! There's no need to make wholesale changes to that lineup. This is the problem with NSW - they make knee jerk reactions to a 1 point loss and change to whole fabric of the team - this is why they're always losing. Brett Morris in on the wing is the only change I would make, though it looks like Robbie has done his AC joint and may miss the second game also. That will be a huge blow for us because no other NSW hooker comes close.

My team for game 2:

1\. Dugan
2\. Morris
3\. Morris
4\. Jennings
5\. Mansour
6\. Pearce
7\. Hodkingson
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Tamou
11\. Scott
12\. Hoffman
13\. Gallen

14\. Klemmer
15\. Merrin
16\. Frizzel
17\. Fifita

Jackson, Cordner, Tupou, Hoppa OUT
Mansour, Morris, Frizzel, Gallen IN

Never have and never will understand the hype surrounding Cordner. Frizzel offers 10x more
Wingers need to be changed urgently. Morris and Mansour are the two best wingers in the game.
Fifita on his day can be damaging and to be honest after watching the replay, I don't think he had as bad a game as everyone is making out..

I was thinking about the team for Origin 2 after the game last night and am pleased that some of my thoughts have been suggested here.

Dugan was excellent last night so wouldn't be moving him anywhere.

Both wingers need to go - agree Mansour to one and Morris the other.
Jennings is pathetic - for someone with this high reputation he is a non event. Fast, elusive - yes. Does he go looking for the ball - no, defence is borderline at best. He was as bad as Morris was good - need another centre. suggestions?

Thought the halves went ok

The forwards were pretty good for first 30 minutes. Fifita needs the big flick and Klemmer I thought was real promising. Jackson I've never liked too much but thought he put in last night - keeper. Cordner is ordinary when not running at 20year old 5/8s - he should go. Hope Robbie plays - the alternative of Ennis is a joke.
So another front rower and another second rower.

Would not even consider Gallen or Lewis ever again.

Amen to that! It would be a backward step.

One player I would love to see given a go is Wade Graham from the sharks.
I would have him on the bench.

Can play anywhere in the back row, if needed would be more then capable of slotting into the halves or even hooker. Has good ball playing options about him and can hit in defence. He's a tough bugger and only 24 years old I think he could step up to origin and offer a lot of versatility of the bench depending how the game is going.

Not a fan of tupou on the wing I'd almost be tempted to throw Matt Moylan in there seems to get involved and have a bit of X factor that could change the flow of the game, tupou just doesn't do it, nor hoppa.

My team for game 2:

1: Dugan
2: Moylan
3: Jarod Croker
4: J. Morris
5: B. Morris
6: Pearce
7: Hodgkinson.
8: Woods
9: Farah
10: Tamou
11: Scott
12: Hoffman
13: Gallen

14: Wade Graham
15: Klemmer
16: Fifita
17: Jackson/ Frizell.

Was Hoffman the first interchange? If so he needs to go. You can't carry Backrowers who only last 15-20min!

No one has mentioned the Walker/Johnston combination yet? This will allow both Morris boys on the Left, and the Souths boys on the Right.

Wade Graham is a good suggestion. You could even start him at 6, and bring a young kid off the bench?

Back in your cave please…

I'm still not understanding why everyone is so hellbent on making so many changes - we lost by a point for God's sake! One bloody point! The constant chopping and changing of this team is our downfall just about every year. Stick with what we've got now, they will only be better for the run. And sorry Watto, but Wade Graham??? Overrated plodder if ever there was one.

I am sick of the hype about Austin. Yes he is playing well, as he did last year with us BUT….. Please get serious. He is a great runner with the ball with a great dummy but once teams work out he never passes he is nullified.

He is a good runner but has a poor kicking game and zero passing game. Not exactly what you want in a SOO 5/8

Going by some of his crash through 3 to 4 defender tries, it doesn't seem to matter if they fall for his dummy or not.

Yep, He'll dummy and run and score points. It's what he does.

As for Wade Graham, I've never seen understood why people consider him a goer.

Why changes after a 1 point loss? Fifita isn't suited, Hokko is out of form as is Hoppa and Jennings is NSW's Chris Lawrence.
