NSW Cup BYE - Will miller get a run?

The wests tigers NSW cup side have a bye so that could affect team selections knowing someone like miller wouldn't be getting any game time at all and the fact benji is out, hope this wouldnt affect tedesco at full back, really want him to start there.

I doubt we will see Miller in FG for a while yet, if ever again….benji and farah dont have confidence in him..I think its BYE to Miller

Anasta has to stay at1/2 this is the best option moving forward…If Siro is ready he would be at 5/8 ,moving Anasta at this stage is to disruptive and the 1/2 problem is fixed in the short term...other than Siro if Fulton is well maybe 5/8 or maybe Rowdy.

I tend to agree, Miller has really not justified his position in First Grade attackingly, defensively or for his kicking ability. We looked stagnant with him there.

I would prefer Moltz or Sirro into the halves.

Chase Hodkinson or put faith in Brooks.

I think when it comes to Miller, Sheens was likely correct (even though he didn't give him a fair go).

I don't think Potter would be sending the right message to call him back up to 1st grade, just because of an injury. Whatever Potter wants Miller to work on in State Cup, he should prove in State Cup.

I heard a few times that Sheens communication with fringe players was not good and his intentions for them not foretold. I dont want this with the new coach.
Calling Miller up would be a backflip on Potters account.
Anasta to stay at half, Moltzen to 6.

This gives Potter another point of measure in assessing both Anasta at 7 (without Benji) and Moltzen as a backup 5/8.
Sirro to early for comeback imo and Moltzen faster (needed with Anasta inside the 6).

I dont think it was a case of sheens not giving him a fair go. I think it was an astutue decision.

He had nothing against miller, in fact it was he that identified miller as a talent and brought him across.

The problem was he didn't kick on from Junior talent to 1st's. Alot of players dont.

He had serious deficiencies in his game, despite his talent and sheens was in far better position to judge that than all the people (myself included) calling for his inclusion.

That's why he never got more than a few starts, sheens new he didn't have it.

He appears to be bottom left of the photo with his shirt off of the players getting their Heritage Jerseys.

miller, in a nut shell NO, NO ,NO, has failed time to move on.

Nahhhh hes certainly hasnt failed yet mate, I have a feeling you will see a Anasta/Miller combo with moltzen and tedesco switching at some points during the game. Cant wait till korobete is back, We have a need for speed and could push tedesco to fullback permanently!

Whilst agree it's a long shot, I suspect we'll see him unless Moltzen is moved from fullback. I think you want the swap which has the least amount of disruption. Now Miller can be a straight swap for Benji, or we can change 2 positions instead. Nothing I've heard suggests Sironen will get the call up due to lack of football in him. Brooks is still a way off. Expect him to play state cup before he hits first grade. To me it's one of two. Moltzen or Miller.

I thought it was McDonnell that brought Miller over to us. Wasn't there some talk of someone coaching him at a junior representative level? Was it Peter Gentle?

According to Braith on 2SM this arvo it is between Miller and Sironen. So we could have the biggest halves combination in the history of the game potentially.

Wests Tigers posted a photo of some Tigers greats handing out the heritage jerseys to players and Miller was in the picture make what you want out of that.

I doubt miller will get a run yet, wasn't too dominant in NSW cup by most accounts. Likely to see, 1\. Moltz, 6\. Sirro, 7\. Anasta I think. That breaks up the spine as little as possible. However, I could imagine 1\. Tedesco, 6/7 Moltzen/Braith. But that call is up to POtter and I trust he makes the right one!

If I was a punter I'd throw a 20¢ on Moltzen at 7, Anasta at 6 teddy to FB.

Thats a lot of talk going on at 6 & 7 which we need.

IMO what we'd gain from having Tedesco at 1 is far more than what we'd gain from having Sironen at 6.

Agree. Moltzen has definatley improved this season, but he is still unsure under the high ball and defiantley returning the ball. This is where I would love to see tedessco in broken play. 1\. Tedessco, 6\. Moltzen, 7\. Anasta, 9 Farah. Give Sirro more time to get his fitness.

Why wouldn't we let moltzen an experienced first grader have a crack in his rightful position. he was great there before he got injured and before sheens came up with the stupid idea he was a full back
