NSW Cup Team Announcement: Round 11

Wests Tigers Media
Tue 19th May, 04:50PM

Wests Tigers NSW Cup Head Coach Paul Fletcher has named his Round 11 side to take on the Wyong Roos on May 23 at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

Kickoff for the match is scheduled for 5:15pm AEST as part of a full three-game program.

After extending their winning streak to three in a row following a 20-18 win over the Newcastle Knights, Fletcher's side will look to continue their strong recent form when they take on the Roos — a side they only played two weeks ago in Wyong.

Wests Tigers prevailed with a 28-24 win that time, and they'll be looking for a similar result this time around when they meet at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

Following his return from injury last week, Tim Moltzen has again been named at fullback, with young centre Marion Seve named for his NSW Cup debut. NYC forward Thomas Grealy has also been named to make his NSW Cup debut off the bench.

Great to see Seve get a run… Obviously JT isnt happy with our outside backs!

Dont stress... Surely Mania will be on the bench for NRL. I wouldnt name him until kick-off!

Agreed, great to see Seve getting a run in NSW Cup already despite limited NYC game time over the past 12 months

Same here. Lets hope he has a great game. There was talk on the forum that he was expected to crack first grade towards the end of the year. Good luck to him!

9\. Manaia Cherrington
10\. Salesi Funaki
11\. Lamar Liolevave
12\. Sitaleki Akauola
13\. Brenden Santi

These guys have been asked to trial and play all over the place, individual form and team form has taken a hit as a result.

You would think that this week at least one of them would have been rewarded with a call up.

I had high hopes for the State Cup team but i get the feeling theyll be a disgruntled stale mob come finals time and wont do much.

Talk about versatility with Funaki. He's played out in the centres this year and now prop

So has Sita, but I don't think versatility is the word. Seems more to me like Fletch is given a list of 17 players and he has to find a position for them.

Beat me to my edit lol.

Moltzen looks to be in all sort of trouble, leaving the field now and may hav either a fracture or disclocation going off how his shoulder is being supported.
