There's been a lot of interesting positional selections so far this season, is it a matter of availability, rotation, or simply trying to expand players skill sets?

Front row looks skinny but otherwise that's a very good looking side. Biggest issue will probably be handling the Panthers through the middle.

If you listen to Fletch it won't be a problem but I Agree…

No Dallas Graham or Cherrington...hmmmm

Starting to think Cherrington may have signed elsewhere for next year. Something is definitely up.

Rowe ousted from the team. I guess shows how far we have come in a year when he was playing nrl. A lot more depth and fingers crossed, less injuries so far.

WTF.

One week 5/8 a week or two later prop.

Its not much difference to what Bennet did to Daniel Vidot or in a more respectful way what he is doing to Thaiday.

I liked Akauola but get the feeling we are only a few weeks away from a mid season transfer.

I wish the interviewer would ask fletcher the hard question regarding Cherington … Then the club winders where rumours start from....

Yeah and that would also make Vidot a prop with exceptional speed.

He is already signed to us isn't he? Wouldn't be surprised if he went Warriors tho, they need a hooker.

Front row does look light with 2 back rowers named as props. Not sure it's good for Funaki's development as he's best used out wide.

Buchanan may well drop back though to give them at least one prop.

Sure its nothing serious with Cherry. He's signed on til the end of 2016, a local junior and great mates with all our other juniors. Not many young hookers play in the NRL, and there's no need to rush him. He'd be filling out, improving his strength and fitness to the levels needed to play against adults every week.

There's an injury report from the club for all three grades coming out today so that should at least tell us if he's picked up a niggle.

the good goss, cherrington is having time of to put on weight so he can replace robbie at state of origin time. also we will have young gun jordan grant back next week from a broken finger.

Also happy was reporting that Cherry was 19th and then 18th Man for the Dogs game.

And if he is having time off to put on weight couldn't he also be playing on weekends? Or is he hitting the gym 5-6 days a week full time?

no i believe he is been dropped off at a pizza shop at 6am and then picked up at 6pm, after two weeks he should weigh about 20kg heavier, also he has to drink 2 cases off beer a day.
iam with u balmain boy, why could he still not play, while been in the gym , he will not be able to play for more than 20m if he does not get match fitness.

If Cherrington is taking time off to add more size then I would specualte that hitting the gym is only part of the issue. League involves a lot of running.

Some PTs avoid cardio (running) under the notion that it burns through muscles. However, to my knowledge the opposite can occur for some as well, if you consume enough calories. Everyone is different I guess and different regimes will suit different bodies .
