NSW Origin II Team

We have a precedent that players are not selected like for like in positions but just what fits; sure I like Turbo (and he has played centre for Australia) but never can I remember 2 players being dropped when one was more than satisfactory last game - I feel badly for Josh Morris who is a proven State of Origin performer.

I think Josh would've known he was originally in there as a placeholder for the injured Turbo but you're right, he did a more than capable job in the first game and Turbo could've just as easily been slotted in on the wing (replacing the injured Cotric) instead of Ferguson. It doesn't matter too much where you put him as long as he's on the field...

The NSW Blues have named Ryan Matterson and Clint Gutherson as 18th and 19th man for Sunday's State of Origin II in Perth.

Matterson was 18th man for the Blues in Origin I and retains that position while Gutherson is one of several new faces in the squad.

He should be in the 17 in place of Graham...

Considering it was wing where Turbo played brilliantly in the series last year I thought a straight swap for Cotric would've been a given. Centre is a new position for Turbo and Morris didn't deserve to be dropped. Some of these changes are bewildering. That said, I don't really mind the inclusion of Ferguson, he goes well in Origin - gets us moving forward out of our own end and can be a game breaker.

Oh that's good to hear. I always thought tigerap was one of the least offensive posters on here.

Its been a kind of crazy period in here lately. Must be the June 30 deadline, Origin period and The Voice hotting up that sends people all nutso.

I wish the WT's players would think long and hard before hitting submit after some of their performances

They are half the issue for many fans .....absolute frustration
