Yes,Sims is from Gerringong,although that is an hour plus south of Sydney it still falls within the QLD border as Korbin has sided with the Toads due to the facts the Broncs recruited the Sims boys when they were juniors.

I could be wrong, but I think only Korbin was an early bronco.

I actually think they all played in the Broncos NYC teams around 2010, despite being south coast juniors. I know Tariq went onto play with North Qld and was going gangbusters there until he broke his leg. He has played for Country a couple of times and was touted as a shoe in for the NSW Origin side around the time of his injury. I just remember it being a big blow for him and the NSW team at the time.

I think he had another serious injury a couple of years later and he has struggled to ever regain his early devastating form…..until now :smiley:

Honestly I'd be happy if NSW picked the entire Dragon's back row, they are that good! Certainly better than what Cordner, Jackson and Graham are throwing up at the moment.

Sims, Frizzel, De Belin, Vaughan and the hooker should all be in the NSW side. Cordner to me has done nothing to warrant selection and should not be picked. Ditto Woods.

I agree with you, in that case it might be Klemmer and Woods to start with RCG and Vaughn off the bench?

Just to clarify that is not the team I would like to see, only the likeliest team to be picked.
Only possible change to that would be Dugan for James Roberts and for Ado Carr for T Turbo or Tedesco.
But just like there is no chance that Brooks will get picked due to his consitency there is probably no chance Ado Carr or James Roberts does as they are perceived as too small for origin.

Agree on Cordner - I have said it before and it is more obvious this year.

He is not as good as Lawrence and never will be.

Ferguson and Ado-Carr on the wings would be perfect and a reward for good form. I'm not a fan of playing players out of position just to accomodate them either. Yet that is what the selectors always do and have done for decades. Imo, if there are 2 or 3 good fullbacks or whatever in contention just have the balls to choose one and the others will just have to miss out.
