I think you do need Woods there for his direction. Fifita crabs a bit and would would better coming off the bench. I'd either have Maloney or Moylan in the halves but not both together. I like selection of Gutherson as the utility (on the bench) A bench of One Utility, Two front rowers (Fifita and Vaughan) and One backrower would be the right balance.

You are kidding. He won our game 1 and while there was some Lorry Daly argument with him, we don't know if this is a storm in a tea cup or a real objection.

Queensland don't Naval gaze like this at a loss. Yes identify the real problems, don't identify petty concerns or if your bench rotation was rotated enough.

Identify that NSW needed a solid plan and platform once they were winning. Identify that game 2 we took the pressure off and lost energy, Why?

Dugan is a NO for at least game 1\. Fergusson is a total NO.
Swap Dugan for Jennings. Then Bird or walker for Centers.
Hooker. EPeats, although I would like to see Rein take the job off him.
Moylan is a NO, definate NO for starting. He has issues that stopped him from a final, cmon.
Adam Reynolds has been awesome for the Bunnies and should have been selected ahead of Pearce.
Maloney is borderline for 5/8 and it's up too other contenders to push him out. Oooh this is tough... Ok I know who should be in at 5/8 if he keeps his current form and the forum will hate me! But he has a combo with Tedesco and can do it. Otherwise move Pearce to 5/8... he is not an origin 7.
Vaughan and Frizell should be in there.
Bird has to perform. If he shows another game of nothing then he should be dropped. If there was another center I would push them in.

Now this will sound weird. Teddy is going to the bench while T. man starts at fullback (maybe swap these two). Alex Johnson coming in on the wing because he is a gun winger for souths and usually across the try line, also because he might have a club combo with Reynolds.

Now we have to content with the Big 3 reunited for QLD now Puppet Master is playing on with the Chooks. At least Pearce can play half back three times next year.

Doesn't matter who we pick another year of torment.

I'm from Queensland it's good to have a winning footy team
 
will1999 I love NSW but watching Slater, JT, Cronk and Smith weave their magic is something I have been privileged to experience. 4 absolute champions and luck to be in the same era and team.

No JT next year but Munster will do a fine job and you also have Morgan who has become one of the game's elite.
 
Queensland's halves are so much better than NSW it's not even funny!

I think NSW have better forwards and both states are about even in the outside backs.

With cool level heads of Gutho & Cleary in the halves to steer the side around plus the passion of outside backs (mitchell, nofo, mansour, walker) that won't back out of any challenge and will always provide spark or energy.

And add James Tedesco who is an X-Factor who will make something out of nothing and can swing the momentum of a match single-handedly.

Put those backs in with a pack with strong, tough, gritty players who will bash up QLD through the middle (Klemmer, McLean, Trbojevic, RCG, Vaughan) and then great defensive backrowers in Jackson and Cordner with Frizell to add some spark when needed.

We just need Brad Fittler with a fresh perspective and different opinions to Laurie in regards to our culture and the team selection if we ever want to beat Queensland

Teddy is on another level to Tommy Turbo and it's not even close. The kid is good but it's ridiculous to think he starts ahead of Teddy. Adam Reynolds should stay far away from a Blues jersey he is the most one dimensional halfback in the game.
 
Too early to formulate a team but if 2017 form continues I'd like to see Angus Crichton, Nathan Cleary, Paul Vaughn, Clint Gutherson, Tom Trbojevic and Reagan Campbell-Gillard in the mix as possible additions. NSW need some genuine centres. Dugan, Bird and Hayne are all pretty unconvincing for mine…
