NSW player ratings?

Thought Gallen tried hard, Pearce i just cant see anything in this bloke, very disappointing & Mini @ the back no thanks as his best is behind him. Stewart tried very hard & so did Bird.

Hayne & Archer should be geting a 6+ for NSW… Great effort in trying to keep the game reasonable/respectful. I'm sure the NSWRL will be personally signing thier paychecks - DISGRACEFUL!!!

On a side note, does Gallen get fined for his comments in relation to the Referee's?

Really??? I thought their performance in keeping the play the ball speed back at 1980's speed played perfectly into queensland's hands. Both teams were lying on the tackled player that long I thought a few had actually fallen asleep.

Yes! But isn't this 1980's play-the-ball speed evident for all the games you watch? As the TV ratings showed last night, Rugby League is right at it's top at the moment, if "they" do not get the play-the-ball speed back, the game will go backwards.
Wake up Mr. Gallop.!

Soward should go to 7\. Hayne should be at 6 and Dugan at 1\. Farah despite being in terrible form is still heaps better than Ennis or Gidley so he gets the 9.

That 1,6,7 & 9 are the best we have but they aren't good enough.

I know he's not a player but can I give Sticky a big fat zero. You have 2 genuine props in your side… (Mannah and Sauce). You're on the backfoot, in your own 20, for most of the game and you only play them for a total of 29 minutes combined.

Gould mentioned during the commentary that NSW were like a tennis player who forgot their racquet.... more like a moronic coach who forgot his props. Don't get me wrong Gallen was awesome, but Sticky doesn't seem to realise that in the modern game you can and should fully utilize all 17 players in your squad (especially when you're getting pumped the way NSW were in the first 30 minutes).

Stryker
Fullback Dugan
Winger Gordon
Centres Lawrence and Hayne
Half Proably Mullen
Props TLL and Snowden
Backrower Lewis
Utility keep Gidley

Sounds good. Hopefully another utility will step up as Gidley only plays 1 good game per series.

Thought about my comments I wonder if Hayne will be playing 6 by the time next SOO series comes around . And then they could play Soward at 7 and Hayne at 6 Dugan at 1 and Robbie Farah (with a form turnaround after surgery in the off season ) at 9 .

Hayne's position is centre. Essentially the guy is a freak and can play anywhere, but I don't think he is the best fullback and not consistent enough to be NSW's 5/8\. He is also wasted on the wing. Playing him in the centres is the right balance.

1\. Dugan
2\. Uate
3\. Hayne
4\. Lawrence
5\. Gordon
6\. Soward
7\. Campese

An unbiased assessment lol.

Minichello - 2 - very poor game. Nothing came off for him. Must be shattered this morning.Get rid of him.
Morriss - 5 - average game from him. About as good as he gets at this level. Really is a wasted position. Get rid of him
Hayne - 6 - looked dangerous towards the end when QLD had clocked off. Needs to be fullback next year. He's a keeper.
Gasnier - 5 - Defended ok, attacked ok…he was just ok. Get rid of him
Uate - 6.5 - not as affective as games 1&2 but still had a go He's a keeper.
Soward - 6.5 - Mostly hid in defense but did provide some spark in attack He's a keeper
Pearce - 4 - Way too overhyped. Goes missing for extended periods. Cant control the game. Get rid of him.
Bird - 7 - Agree with Smeg, he was good without being outstanding. He's a keeper.
Stewart - 6.5 - Tried hard but was used wrong. Strong defense but limited attack. He's a keeper
Creagh - 5 - Like always at this level was just ok. A lot like Gasnier. Get rid of him.
Gallen - 8 - Top game from him again. My man of the series. He's a keeper.
Ennis - 4 - Didnt do much. Doesnt offer much. Get rid of him.
Mannah - 5 - Didnt get the chance to shine. Was solid while out there. He's a borderline keeper.
Gidley - 3 - Really surprised he was so bad. Got to play most of the match and was terrible. Get rid of him
Galloway - 3 - Got very little game time and was mostly not noticed. He's a borderline keeper.
Lewis - 6.5 - Great impact off the bench. He's a keeper.
Watmough - 6 - Good impact off the bench. Just behind Lewis for effectiveness. He's a keeper.

So by my estimations, at this stage I think you need a new fullback, new winger, 2 new centers, new half, new backrower, 2 new props, new hooker and a new utility.

Only definites from this years side for next year for me : Gallen, Hayne, Uate, Soward, Bird/Stewart, Lewis and Watmough.

All the rest should be selected on form from March 2012 on.

Stryker you can be selector next year for mine!!!
