All I have to say is, if Pearce is 7 in 2014 NSW can't win.

He will be here… Daley has already made that statement!

:roll

Yep. But surely some common sense can be used.

If it wasn't for your halves and your centres NSW would be a chance

You blokes need to find a way to get Jamie Lyon to play

Be interesting to see who gets the 6 jersey if Pearce is the lay down misere that Daley claims

Been disappointed in Maloney so far in 2014

If I was picking the side

1 Dugan
2 Morris
3 Jennings
4 Hayne
5 Morris
6 Bird
7 Mullen
8 Tamou
9 Farah
10 Fifita
11 Watmough
12 Merrin
13 Gallen

14 Lewis
15 Woods
16 Cordner
17 Stewart

I think your bench in SOO will need to be extremely mobile and that's one area NSW could beat Qld

Too many players out of position for my liking Hap, I think halfback will continue to be our Achilles for this series. I think our centres are fine, Morris and Jennings have got the confidence at this level and at worst can hold their own. Our forwards are excellent, the rest of the spine is good too (Hayne is the most talented player this side of the Tweed, we all know how good Farah is and there are plenty of talented 5/8s to pick from in Mullen, Carney and Reynolds). Pearce is still probably the best option, I just hope maybe getting the premiership takes a bit of the weight off his shoulders, I think that weighs him down a little too much.

Crazy Halves pairing…

I rate Mullen for SOO, but if you choose him, you must have an X-Factor at 6\. Its the same with picking Adam Reynolds, you need that extra flare.

Not picking Carney at 6 is foolish in my eyes. This allows NSW to pick a genuine Halfback to direct the Pigs and let Farah play his game out of Dummy Half.

The moment the halves lack creativity... Farah over-plays his hand!

Does Lewis still play Rugby League?

Don't forget Gidley played a full game the other week… He is a shoe-in now!

Exactly Watto! If NSW were serious about winning, both Lewis and Gidley would be nowhere near being considered for selection this year.

These guys that are chosen _every_ year, like Lewis, Watmough, Bird, Gallen and Merrin, whilst they're all good players in their own right, they ain't gonna win the series for us. They lack the impact of the Qld forwards although the selection of Fifita and Cordner is a step in the right direction, at least. Let's face it though, until we can field a stable spine and a dominant halves pairing (like Qld do every series) I'm afraid NSW are probably in for more of the same, sadly.

Luke Lewis is one of NSW best series after series and he is the perfect utility player

Gidley agreed , but if Lewis is fit he has to be chosen
