Just had a chat with a bloke who has the inside word and he tells me the NSWRL are furious with the Tigers ruling out Farah, Woods, Lawrence then again ruling out Ayshford who was picked in Lawrences spot.

There is also the issue that James Tedesco is actually a country boy and Country are not happy about him playing with City.

Apparently the commission decided their will be a balance with the representation of all teams for this weekend hence why 3 Tigers players out 3 Tigers players in. Like seriously? Joel Reddy. Why wouldnt they pick Jacob Loko I mean you went with the Tigers rookies???

This games fate has been sealed. GOOOONE!!!

It seemed a little suss. 3 tigers out…. 3 tigers in. Congrats to Reddy, Tedesco and Sirro!!! Those 3 should actually benefit from playing in the city v country clash!

I bet a lot of you blokes wish you were Qlders at times like these

So lets not pick teams on form , lets pick them because we want equal representation from all clubs

What a bunch of tossers

I've spent an entire life minutes away from the border I've never once wished I was a QLD'er. We could lose the next dozen Origin series and I would never regret being a Blue.

Started supporting Blues at a time in the 80s when QLD smugness about owning the concept was ingrained in me. Then NSW era started from about '92 till '06 where QLD won something like 3 series. Now the smugness is back and apparently this new reign will last for a 1000 years etc.

You only truly ever appreciate the good when you experience the bad. And QLD's downfall will be one sweet sweet ride for me.

Sorry LaT but some people just can never be helped to see the light

Your loss not mine

I think QLD have helped enough Blues "see the light" in recent years. Time to look in your own backyard!

I love Origin, best time of the year!

Win or lose, Origin has never disappointed me. Well maybe 2009 came close.

The 15 minutes before kick off in Game 1 or a decider and I literally feel like I'm prepareing to take the field

Massive amounts of nervous energy ,pacing around

My wife and kids think I'm :crazy

Your wife & kids are probably right… 15 minutes before kick off and trying to decide whether I should buy a couple of schooners or settle in with a jug?!

The OP's comments are interesting... I presumed the injury list out of Concord was very quick after a game, and it was the intention of the club to rule the boys out of City/Country. (The Roosters did the same with SBW by sending him off for a Knee Procedure.)

Let's hope the week off helps the guys!

It's a pointless and irrelevant game lacking in credibility due to the nature of the selections and also that most of the blokes that are already in the origin side are pulling out with injury. Seems like a smart move on their part.

I won't be watching it and I struggle to see how it continues from year to year.

NEVER EVER EVER wished I was a queenslander.

Not sure I'd qualify anyway.. Too high an IQ.

James Tedesco - Born in Ryde and raised in Menangle of Italian descent, Tedesco played his junior football with the Camden Rams.

City or Country? What do you all think?

I know his cousin lives in the Ryde area, friends with him. so maybe city? and I coulda sworn he was a wests junior?

Well it wouldnt have to be too high.About 40-ish would rule you out.

I'd rather lose a limb than be a Qlder.

I think it would depend on how much time he spent with Camden before joing wests juniors.

It is a grey area but I assume he played Matts & Ball with Wests therefore he has been playing in the 'city' since at least under 16.

I'd say he should play with city as most the best fullbacks around are country boys or qlders.
