Why wasn't J.Schirnack a consistent selection then in the Balmain team in the 2010 season when not injured? After a great year in NYC in 2009, and a restricted 2010 he still has a lot to prove to make the cut at NRL level still. Is he still at the Wests Tigers?

in my opinion of course :ugeek:

Again an opinion based on lack of fact. As smeg said - he was in the BRET team every week when not injured!

He effectively pushed Mataka to the centres!

He is still contracted to Wests Tigers (not BRET or the Magpies)! And I agree he has a bit of development before becoming a regular first-grader at our club - but he would already be there at others! He is still only 21 unlike the two boys being compared - who are also a bit off first grade standard (and are running out of time to make the jump)!

He was as influential a player in that NYC team as Fifita, Woods, Lui and Mullaney! The kid has a huge future and I for one want it to be in black, gold and white or he will come back to bite us on the arse!

Jason Schirnack will be an NRL standard backrower with one more off-season. His Guile, Speed & Skill place him in that Beau Scott, Matt Prior mould which is where backrowers are heading…

While I've only seen Davis & Nu a little on TV, I never once drew comparisons which would see them at NRL Level. Good Footballers, but the difference from State Cup and jumping to NRL is being a more rounded 'Athlete'. Add that to the fact Murdoch has jumped them, followed up with the 3 backrowers we currently have in the starting 13, there just isnt much room to progress.

Dont forget young Dwyer as well…

That makes Ellis, Heighno, Fulton, Dywer in the top 17.

Then the rest...

It is hard to get into the Tigers back row, it is our strongest position. I wish Nu all the luck to get there.

I have not seen much of Nu play however for me he would be behind Ellis, Heinghtion, Fulton, Dwyer, Murdoch-Malsla, Flanagan, Payten and Jason S at least for a back row position in the NRL with the Tigers.

I for one can't see him making NRL level at the Tigers.
