The promising halves combination of Jordan Marshall-King and Jacob Miller will get another chance to impress Wests Tigers NYC Coach Todd Payten at Parramatta Stadium on Sunday, April 29.
Up until the last round win over Penrith, Payten had gone with the successful combination of five-eighth Manaia Rudolph and half-back Miller in the halves. However illness to full-back Kurtis Rowe saw Payten shift Rudolph to full-back with Marshall-King moving to five-eighth.

Rudolph (pictured) is the NYC leading pointscorer, scoring 4 tries and kicking 33 goals for 82 points.

Payten said he was happy with the way the Marshall-King and Miller combination worked. Rowe, an outstanding young talent himself, will start from the interchange bench against Parramatta.

“Kurtis hasn’t done anything wrong. Its just that Manaia’s performance at the back against Penrith has kind of forced our hand a little bit,’’ Payten said.

“Manaia has an excellent football brain and his support play against the Panthers was a huge asset to the team.

“I think he had around 28 or 29 supports which is what I’m looking for from my fullback. He just knows where to be and when to be there.”

Payten said Parramatta are a very physical side with some big forwards.

The Eels have won 4 of their 7 matches. Wests Tigers have won 5 from 7.

“If we keep the ball and keep making them play out of their own area, it will make it a lot harder for them,’’ Payten said.

“They have a big edge backrower in Kelepi Tanginoa. He is a strong boy with a good offload. "

Payten is thrilled to have tough forward Jesse Sue back from injury.

“It will be his first comp game of the year so I’m sure he’ll be itching to get out there. He is a man amongst boys and his huge physical presence and experience will be invaluable,’’ Payten added.

I don't recall Jesse Su being a monster last year. He must have put on some serious size going by Payten's description.
