Lodge on the bench? I thought he'd be starting.

Both starting front rowers are handy and have earnt their spots. Good looking side once again and hopefully they can continue on their winning ways.

Good to hear the NYC front rowers are good enough to keep Lodge on the bench.
I remember in the pre season people thinking this may have been an area of weakness for the under 20s. Obviously that's not the case.

Wondering what people's thoughts on Levido are ??

He's been pretty quiet but solid in the two games I have seen

The game i saw he came up with some very poor efforts in defence. Not just bad defence, but bad efforts not putting his body on the line which concerned me.

Not sure if that unusual for him or not so i will watch with interest on Saturday.

The lack of defensive effort seems to be common in 20s. No matter the score line, you're never down and out! Haha

Anyone know when Hoeter is due back?

First time our 20s have been televised in NZ this season so first time seeing Liolevave. He looks very busy and hits some great holes with an awesome offload. Is he this good every game? looked dangerous almost everytime he's got the ball today.

Apparently lodge just put on a big hit. Sounds good. Lovin this aggression in our 3 packs.

He is so much bigger then the rest, he still doesn't know how to use his size properly yet.

Hopefully kidwell can help him out with this.

Graham has been the best of the props. Lodge still currently our third best prop. Grant has been better than him too. Dallas just looks like a young Shane walker.

This team is impressive. They were running into an insane wind in that half. I can easily see them putting 30 on in the second half if they hold the ball. They pull through tackles every time they run it. Liolevave has to be in the first grade squad next year and Cherrington too. Te Maire Martin looks a good little player too, the Titans should be all over him. Lodge looks difficult to handle but he seems to try too much for mine, putting on steps and holding the ball out in one hand. I'd like to just see him run into them straight and hard.

Te Maire takes on the line very well. And holds the ball right up to the defensive line aswell, keeps them guessing and isn't afraid to take a bit of contact. has impressed me in the first half.
