NYC Superstars Gone missing in 2011

No doubt these guys had a lot of talent but looks like their future is not looking as bright as it once did.

Joel Wisbey – "Heads into his third season of the U20s competition after two fine years with Wests Tigers. A former centre, Wisbey has a high work-rate and has developed into a good attacking second-rower."
Was rookie of the year in 2009\. Not sighted after a couple of games in 2011.

Evander Waitoa - "A very tough half, five-eighth or hooker. He captained Wellington U18s in 2010 and is a player to watch out for."
Well I watched and I watched and I watched but never saw him.

Ratu Tagive - "Younger brother of former Wests Tigers winger Peni Tagive. He has the same attributes as Peni, being very quick and good under the high ball."
News Flash not good under the high ball also not sighted after a couple of games.

Daniel Ahsin - "Played one game for Wests Tigers U20s in 2010\. A Wests junior who represented the Australian Schoolboys in 2009\. A good young back-rower."
Was it also just one game in 2011 - That must be his quota 1 game per year another one gone missing.

Good post, Im still hopeful for Dan Ashin and Evander is young, hopefully we see more of those 2.

Yes that can be the problems with March champions
Look good until they play some game time and then are shown up

Wasn't Wisbey also considered a fringe bolter for FG this year? WOW.

It must be a hard and frustrating life being a fringe 20's and state cup player…

who ever is in charge needs to go to NZ and get some of the big ones they have that would be a good start. It would be nice to se miller and sippo behind a huge pack the the warriors have.

I agree with everything said here. I was looking forward to seeing Evander get a go, especially considering we had halves issues during the course of the season. Does anyone know why he did not get a start? Did anyone see him play anywhere?

I hope we get an influx of good young players for next season as I am a little worried that some of our guys like Wisbey may be getting a little stale…
