The only weak spot in this team is our FB, bomb catching in 'Moltzen style' :frowning:
We have a number of very good forwards in NSW and NYC so bye bye Butchannan.
Our props are all very strong and agile Falise, Tulaki, Marsters and Sokobalavau.
Cassel was impressive with his defense tackles, had a nice break but was unlucky to drop the ball when he was over the line. Woods was also good.
Seve had solid game, a few strong hits.
Martin's kicking game was awful today, he could win us the game, but his position for field goal was not good.

Marion Seve is being wasted in this team on the wing. They never get the ball to the right wing. When he does touch it though he looks classy. IMHO the brightest prospect in the outside backs we have at the club atm outside of Kevy, Nofa, Simona and Teddy.. Wonder if he will line up for first grade next year should he have a solid pre season and put on a bit more muscle.

Sadly this game showed some of Martin's shortcoming and inconsistencies. He had a pretty woeful game. A lot of errors and poor decisions, kicking game was awful. He did end up with 2 try assists though, but did absolutely nothing else all game. The pass for the last try was very good, the kick for the 2nd was more Seve doing a great job. Why he was standing barely 15m out for the match winning field goal attempt was bizarre. We would have won by 10-14 if he was on today. These things he should be nailing at 20s level before he start stepping up a grade.
The team is solely reliant on Martin, when he's off we're no chance. Seeing the Warriors had 66% possession for much of the match we did well to hold them out as much as we did.
Felise was a beast again. Sirro very good, smart player.
It's amazing how at NYC level, where expansive footy is the norm, that our wingers only ever touch the ball in the opposition 20m line or when returning kicks/dummy half runs. Woefully underused.
And finally the first time we've been able to see Kharwin in open space all season. As expected not Koro fast, but quick. And so hard to tackle. Reminds me a lot of Wendell Sailor or even Semi. With a full off season to work on some sprint sessions he can hopefully pick up an extra yard of pace too.

He of course does a lot of good things too. But i'm assuming he is good mates with Docker Clay so it was what was right for him. Nice to see the kiwis having a close bond. Docker Clay was doing the haka for Cherrington at Leichhardt too.
This forward pack has immense potential and I think a few of them will see first grade. Mainly the back row.

Tyler Cassel's also a tricky one. Has the best defensive technique of anyone in the NYC, but he's just so small one wonders whether he'd be able to have the same effect in NRL against all the really big and skilful boys.
He did do well in nsw cup earlier in the season though which is a good sign, but he's like a smaller, less skillful but better tackler Liam Fulton clone. A full season of nsw cup next year will show us his future potential.
