Some pretty good talent among that large squad, bearing in mind that Ben Murdoch is still to come back into the side and Woods is on the bench for FG. Good to see the likes of young Matt Groat and Joel Brooks get a run.

no curtis siro which is a bit of a surprise and looks like liam ayoub is the half for the year

Young Sirro had knee surgery and may still be recovering. There some whispers that he would miss the start of the season perhaps.

a few notable omissions; koroibete, tanqele naiyarvoro, ratu tagive, jacob miller, politoni, parata. barring injuries miller, politoni and parata will probably be on the extended bench for the first grade trial and theres every chance that the other players have secured a spot. woods, begovich, roqica, groat and fotuaika make five real quality props in the squad this year, which means at least one of those guys will be playing second row, nsw cup, or possibly first grade at all times this year. obviously woods is first in line for the step up. the real weakness to last years squad was in the halves, with miller taking one spot, who gets the other one. given miller has locked up the no7 i think if ayoub was going to partner miller in the halves, he would be playing 5/8th in this trial, not half back. i wasnt impressed by ayoub in 2010 and i think waitoa will be a better option. i wonder whether siro comes into 5/8th or second row later in the season.

Good to see Brooks getting a start, but at hooker?

Different Brooks …....Luke is out for the season

:brick: silly assumption

what happened to Luke? His foot should be better by now shouldn't it?

they seemed to have rested most of the 20's that played against the cowboys
i was most interested in the halves, Ayoub getting a full game to show his wares, evander, off the bench, must put Ayoub ahead in the pecking order.

With the wing spot probably the only position open in 1st grade, I was looking forward to hearing how Nayarvovo and Koroibete played. Hopefully they are going to be named in the 2nd half side for 1st grade.

Nice long bow to draw!!!!

IT'S A TRIAL PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

settle Curtis Mydadisfamus jnr was always playing juniors at the start….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A crappy call by the ref while the Tigers attacking on the Eels 20 minute line , and then a good set of 6 by Parra for repeat set of 6 and their in after 10 minutes under the posts
Parra 6-0

12-0
Tigers not making much headway. Silly mistakes but it is bloody hot

Surprise surprise Parra on the attack again , they spread to the right , and a good try save .
The first quarter couldn't finish fast enough, as it was just 20 minutes of tackling practice , and some if the WT boys need it.
I am sure they will be happy to be just 12 down
