NYC Top 17 for 2014

Would be between Hoeter and Alofi for the fullback spot. Is Rowe definitely ineligible for next season's NYC though?

Martin will most definitely be one of the halves, as well as Seve as a centre and Liolevave a starting 2nd row. Probably all no the same side too, as they had a really good understanding, and would be silly to break that up.

Moses might start the season in nyc but will probably play half the year in nsw cup to ready him physically for the WC.

Farrell missed this year due to an ACL injury but he will be somewhere in the top 13 and is a better fullback than those 2 IMO but he can play anywhere in the backline.

:sign: good line up

I know it's a bit early but we should have a very strong squad, here's my top 17/18 from players I have seen play, I believe there will be a few kids from the Country to add but would like to see how they go first.

I don't get the love for Dooner at prop.

Very ordinary and small for a starting prop

Never got it either, he is deadset ordinary, I'm guessing he's one of these guys that just really puts in at training that coaches love….cause payten wrapped him quiet a bit during the year.

On another note smeg do you know if jarred szczuldo is still here next year?

Payten must of wrapped Dooner for a reason. His defence was excellent, he was in the halves at club so being put in the middle would be a big change at this level. I think he will go well next season and the same with Ene if he cuts out the mistakes and misses. Tigers dont need a team of heroes like some thought they were this year. Some overplayed their hand.
And why Dont THE WHOLE SQUAD OF 20`s do some training with first grade during the year like the storm do, I bet some grade players couldn't name 5 u/20`s players apart from the superstars.

Mate he is at the tigers for at least 1 yr.

But in nsw cup. Too old for 20s.

Spoke to him a few weeks ago and is pumped 4 a big season.

Hope he finally gets a decent injury free run. Poor bloke has hardly played over the last 2 years.

That's good news.

A season ending injury between ages 18-20 can be career ending for players if coaches aren't entirely sure on them. Players make huge strides in their way towards a possible professional career during these years, to miss a year (let alone two) can almost be diabolical. We all saw what happened with Blake Lazarus.

Yeah hope he comes back strong.

He's a monster, bigger them keithy and years to thicken up. Already about 115kg

I reckon Jeremy Marshall-King will be the halfback and Moses the 6\. Hoeter will be the fullback. Seve will almost surely be one centre. Dunno about the rest. Is Sa Fafita finally going to play?

I actually agree with you here! lol

As for Sa, yes I think he is finally going to play this year…. hopefully! He didnt impress in the trials earlier this year but from memory he did go back up to the GC not long after trials for family reasons so that could have possibly been a performance factor!

One thing is for sure, Sa is a big, skillful kid for his age who Lenton has put a lot of time and energy into cultivating his skills and physique over the last couple of years! Lenton even referred to Sa as the next SBW in an article about Keebra "Kiwi" Park High and Lenton doesn't give accolades like that away willy nilly either!

He will be one to watch for sure if he can settle and enjoy his footy down here away from his family!!
