Observations from Yesterday's Game

He also had a dominant forward pack providing field position and time to operate. I believe even Kenny and Sterling would struggle behind our pack yesterday.
Our forward pack were trying to execute a game plan that involved the halves getting the ball to them from the ruck so they could hit the edges and provide some go forward. Many on here have complained about the poor platform laid by the forward through the middle. There was a very clear shift in the game plan yesterday. We just didn't execute it well enough though.

Give Noddy some time - he is trying to turn the ship. He has identified our weaknesses and has a plan. It is happening - the execution isn't there yet - but I trust it will come.

This team doesn’t need to change their technical skills as much as address a lack of desire and want in the group. They count down the clock.

e.g game was still within reach and AD miss kicks another bomb and it goes straight up. No Tiger contests it when it went 50m up and 10m forward.

You don’t have to be Craig Bellamy to understand that is a lack of care.

no he was too slow to even catch campbell gillard. then we put mbye there
How many games did he play there eh?
Well he's certainly not electric in the halves injury or not.
He would develop at fullback given enough time.
We certainly are in a position to try something or should we just sit on our hands, mmm

Our forwards are reserve grade standard at best and everyone has worked Hastings out. So we have no go forward except for our two wingers who do more dirty carry’s than our forwards. Depressing and painful to watch are my thoughts on the game

The team has been given no incentive to perform. They were written off when Maguire got sacked with all focus on the pathways. The club has given away players and not replaced them ,and have missed out on the coach they ruthlessly sacked Maguire for. They sacked Maguire after training the team preparing for the following game - poor form whether you support the decision or not and can't have sat well with the players.
As soon as they face any adversity they will fold and under the circumstances with players committed elsewhere and not one exciting prospect coming through - if they win another game I will be stunned

Have you emailed in your CV and covering letter. You sound like you could add value.

And yet Paws we sacked a coach who wanted our forwards to get the team on the front foot...they failed and he got sacked...hows the team going after we sacked him...Noddy must have eaten a pack of Valium since Madge left...but people seem to blame Hastings and Brooks for the failure...AD needs more time and the team needs to toughen up or get the hell out of here,if they expect Brooks ,Hastings and AD to be the saving grace then they need to choose a new career...NRL isnt for them....
TT, this is the squad Maguire assembled over 3.5 years. Sheens and others are left to clean up the mess. Since the divined one was defrocked the squaddies (you can tell them with their fullish botox lips - none of them look surprised) have become quite petulant. We need to be patient and see what the godfather brings us.

Totally paws , just a little patients.
The godfather is back

Sheen's statement that he wants a new coach appointed before anymore recruiting seems to be holding firm but my fear is there is no "cavalry"... may have gone to another war 🤔

ahhhh @pawsandclaws1, if only the WT played to their strengths like you do. Thankfully though your strengths of being condescending, insulting and trivilialising towards those who view things differently to yourself, have no part to play in any successful professional sporting club.

Patience Tragic. The godfather is back.😃

He played FB enough times to know he was not one. So we bought another 5/8 to play FB and he’s having troubles too. We need a proper fb and AD needs to play centre, it’s his best spot and best for the team at the moment.

Na, fullback is. We have enough centres. We also need a better coach or at least a better game plan

A certain coach that our club deemed not good enough has got the Dogs firing quite nicely after only 2 weeks.
Just sayin'

We will continue to be the spare parts team of the competition until we can assemble a squad that players want to play with, no matter how many coaches we go through - and playing depth across the competition is skinny.
The blind faith some have in Sheens to change things, is as delusional as believing Maguire was the reason that players didn't want to play at the club.
It's not the men off the field that are the biggest draw cards (or the problem) for securing quality players (even more so in the Sydney market) it's the men on the field that attract players to clubs. Throwing the bank at some players may jag you one, but history will show that does little to build a winning team. Each time we sack a coach the message we send is in three years time we will be where we want to be. That's not what players who want success now want to hear.

You are 100% correct. The problem is the only solution appears to be gun juniors coming through year on year.
