I think you need to watch a little closer. These two guys are serious footballers that every club would love on their books.

In my opinion Sirro has achieved because of his name. Sitaleki only played one NRL game last year and then was dumped. We can't keep all the players and if I am rating players as to who we **should** keep then these two are down the bottom.

I think Curtis is in a similar position to that of Blake Austin at Penrith last year. Can't cement a first grade spot, can't get a straight answer on whether he's a back rower or a half. I wouldn't blame him if he looked elsewhere.

Except that isn't actually true. He has had a permanent first grade spot all last year and this year he would have played except for injury. Also the club confirmed last year that he was moving permanently into the backrow.

When he returns from injury he will slot straight back into the side and will if not straight away then when back at full fitness take the right side backrower role currently filled by Bodene Thompson

Cool, I wasn't aware that the club had actually made a firm call on that, all I was hearing was "Curtis will probably move into the forwards at some point".

I don't think he will walk back into the side given the form of our backrow at the moment. Realistically Sirro will have to bide his time in NSW Cup and work up some match fitness over a few weeks and then look to grab a spot on the bench if he's in good form. His days in the halves are over though, he's bulked up even more since being injured and will tip the scales at 110kg when he returns.

He's reminding me of SBW years ago when he first burst onto the scene but had multiple injuries due to his body still growing etc.

Yea, siro will need at least 1 or 2 games in NSW Cup i think. It was a footy injury, so his match fitness wont be great. plus we're not in dire need of him right now

the elephant in the room is Tedesco.
If he (or more probably his manager) is digging his toes in for more than 450-500 then we should move on. Because if we lose players like Gavet, Ava, Sitaleki and Thompson because Tedesco's manager wants far more than an apparently injury prone 19yo should get (regardless of how talented he may become) then the club has made a bad decision.

If he wants to be greedy then let him go to a club like the dogs or roosters where a greedy attitude fits in perfectly.
