OFFICIAL: Ben Matulino to join Wests Tigers

Good signing, quality front rower. As someone else mentioned, would have been a great guy to have alongside Woods, but alas, his signing puts us back at square one in terms of the pack. If we look towards a marquee at 6 or 1, we'll probably just have to deal with the pack we've got.

I hope Ben understands he'll be carrying the pack for a little while…..
 
Would it be cynical to think that the timing would mean bulldogs and roosters announcements tomorrow?

I think we need another decent front rower just as much as need a 1 and 6\. Also think we need a Centre and another back rower to partner McQueen as well.

Warriors announced it first tonight by saying he was leaving and going to the Tigers. Tigers then put their press release out like a minute later. That's going off the twitter feed.

Sounds like Ben told his team mates after game tonight going off the Warriors statement on website. Maybe club didn't want repeat of Jake Bird announcement and got in before Warriors. But Tedesco and Woods announcements wouldn't surprise me tomorrow. Would have to be announced any day now. Wouldn't surprise me if Woods waited till after Leichhardt game though.

Keen to get the positive news out but didn't want to disrupt the Warriors prep for their game as a matter of courtesy?
 
One thing this confirms is that u can't trust what a player or manager says cause 5 days ago he hadn't signed anything according to the manager and Ben lol. You can only laugh.

Yep Ben, Woods, Ava and Jesse would have been a sweet prop rotation with JJ and Junior for depth.

Indeed Ink. Good start for the forward pack so far. Another prop wouldn't go astray but the 1 and 6 need some desperate attention.
