They are all too busy pushing their agendas to the two tigers knockers on 2sm….good signing maybe woodsie might just have a re think....he once again stated this morning that he hasnt signed yet..could still be another twist

Any news from the posters on here who have repeatedly pushed the line that no-one would sign with the Tigers as they're such a basket case?

Maybe Ben is a big fan of baskets?

Reports that we're paying 700k a season. What are people's opinions on this?

Been suggested that it's too much considering his recent form.. I don't know, seems like a solid signing but tbh I haven't watched much of him so can't really say..

Real positive news
Just hoping he doesnt become lazy like Adam Blair (the time he spent with us)
But then again i have faith in Cleary's coaching

Blair was lazy because he spent most of his time out on the edge. When he played in the middle he was fine. Matulino will be fine. He's arguably one of the top 5 props in the game.

He is an international Rep
I think once you hit that sort of level there is a minimum salary expected

People are blowing up about Woods too

He played SOO, Plays for Australia, he is worth big coin

Its like having qualifications and achievements on your CV.

$700k and $900K could be high ends but im not sure what the baselines are so its really hard to say

That's true, and with the cap going up next season it might not be as much as it sounds in comparison. I see your earlier post re Blair and that's sort of what I had in the back of my mind.. Seems a higher quality player to begin with though, and Cleary should be good for him, may see some of his best form hopefully.

thought he played really well yesterday against the storm, all we need now is one more prop and another backrower, and we will have a good pack.

I wouldn't trust that figure but, It doesn't really matter because I have confidence that Cleary knows what he's doing.

475 K !

He was arguably at his best prior to the banning of the shoulder charge during the Cleary era at the Warriors. Big motor and when he played on the edges in the second row on the odd ocassion had a dangerous offload.

No doubt for WTs this is a good buy mainly because he's reuniting with Ivan.
