OFFICIAL: Ben Matulino to join Wests Tigers

Has anyone been watching Ben's games lately. Stats don't tell the full story but looked good tonight:

31 tackles
143 metres
3 offloads
2 tackle breaks

Not bad in a losing side

He's been great. Love his offload. It's going to be great having a prop who doesn't seize up like a statue and actually looks to promote the ball.

Glad everyone has seen the light. Matulino is a beast injury has cruled him. Best prop in the game in 2015.

He's been gradually improving since he returned from injury. As a long as he's fit, he'll be a great purchase. Frankly, at full strength, I'd take him over Woods.

hope he brings his mate VETE with him.

That would be a bonus. As you posted in another thread, we need more forwards!

I still struggle to understand why the Warriors can't win a game with the talent they have on the field. It's mind boggling really.

Packerlino are going to be great foils for each other. Mats is a bit Todd Payten like, with a grade offload. Packer has the ability to hurt you. Someone to fear. Been years since we can say that about someone in our pack.

The great thing about having Packer and Mataulino on board is that i think Jesse Sue will go up a few steps in his game as will Twal. I think if we have a Packer, Mataulino, Twal, Sue prop rotation with the addition of maybe one more. We will have a forward pack that can finally compete.

GNR I have been saying this for some time. What gets missed with props is the tough hit up and quick play the ball. Packerlino both do this well and they will help each other make metres off the back of powerful charges and fast play the balls. The real wildcard is Matulinos offloads with Brooks and Tui trailing. It's s shame Teddy won't be here as he would have caused havoc in support.

Sue would want to go up a few steps because he has been ordinary this year.
