GoodBye Esan, u were a exciting talent and good player, your goal kicking skills will not be missed

but enjoy ur stay at Cows 😉

Don't think we will be signing a centre. I'd say Mbye and Momo will the starting centres next year.

Unless Mbye goes back to fullback with Thompson playing on the wing?

Wests Tigers have today confirmed that Esan Marsters will depart the club ahead of the 2020 NRL season.

I never got the impression that Esan is a Madge favourite, so by all means Madge, make your mark on this roster.

He had an extremely disappointing year, confidence way down and didn't seem to be improving.

It's a shame he couldn't bring last year's form back, but this is better for both parties.

Hope for him he finds his confidence again in a new environment, just as long as he has a crap game against us 😀

So our Centre stocks for next year are

Mbye
Momo
Talau
Jennings
Chee-kam as a backup

Hopefully Momo can continue to improve as with Talau.

I hope they look at another forward with Esan's money

The report on the Nth Qld site says the WTs will put their faith in Tommy Talau.

What else would they say? We haven't signed any replacements yet. And in any case momirovski is already a superior player in every way

If I’ve learned 1 thing over the last 10 years it’s just because we release a player, doesn’t mean we are going to sign anyone of note.

I’d say momo n talau will be centres with Mbye starting 9, grub or Walters off the bench

That honestly surprised me so much, I did not expect that at all. Usually closer to the date, there would be more rumblings. I’m confused I don’t know how to react.

Same article but with an added paragraph in the Dragon's forum mentioning Magurie's meeting with Lomax.

Anyway, Matterson is left wondering why he didn't ask Marsters how to go about getting a release.

I certainly hope that is not happening, MBye at 9 with Grub as back up, that would be a disaster, as neither are a 9

Given the stand we've taken with Matterson. I wonder what the positive outcome will be for the club in releasing Marsters? Fingers crossed we've got some good news coming.

@851 I feel grub wont be with as...and Mbye was in a grand final playing hooker but again others players around him were in form then....I guess Mbye is avg. everywhere

Mbye has always been just an above average player. Really have no idea how he's been on $800K+ for the majority of his career.

We don’t have to pay a guy who wasn’t performing, that’s the positive. The question is can he regain form at the Cowboys.
