Official - Josh Reynolds Signs Megathread

Im happy to give him the season to get his body in order and to be on the field for all of 2019\. If not able to do, then off to ESL my friend- its a bit easier on the body.

One thing I've found strange with all of this is that he's already mentioned England if it doesn't work out with us.

Yeah he was saying that he sees it as a great opportunity these days, not a retirement gig.

Could it be possible that he is looking at NC coming here?

I think he knows in his heart of heart that his body cant take it here on the Aussie fields. Could well be he may seek out ESL interest and ask an early release for 2019 ESL season. If so, granted with best of wishes and thanks.

Why are the aussie fields harder on the body than the english fields?

I dont know having never played on an english field- walked on many but never played on- I'm only saying what has been said in many articles over time and I've been interested in league since 1966 as a boy, that going over to england to play prolonged playing careers as the fields were softer and not as hard as Aussie ones. Maybe they meant they game rather than the fields, I dont know.

Can't see him getting healthy

Likewise.
He's cooked.

Good dude tho and all that.

These discussions seem to remind of another great bloke …..But.
Does the name Ballin mean anything.
Great bloke, and the longer he sat on the sidelines the greater Bloke he became
To some .
We may as well have bought him to sell pies at the games.
I’m not saying that Reynolds is the same, but the comments are starting to look familiar
Its all too familiar
Why us again!

He seems the kind of person where if he couldn’t give us our moneys worth next year he would go to England without being pushed. I would love to see his impact week in and week out. But who knows if his body will allow it.

I think it’s due to the minerals…...

After playing over there i can tell you its a mixture of things. Firstly tonnes more rain which makes the groung alot softer and harder to run in (unless they are frozen). Slower running tends to lessen impact. Also 10 always felt shorter.

Reynolds has hamstring issues - wouldn’t the combination of softer grounds and colder weather impact these more?

Softer grounds and cold weather.

Its a winter sport, if he cant handle that he wouldnt have got this far.

There’s a massive difference between an Australian winter and an English one. I know their season runs in summer but preseason training in temperatures near zero can’t be good for someone with bad hamstrings.

In the ask kenty article today.

What happens to josh reynolds? The Tigers dont seem to benefit from him so far this season.

-Josh
I don't believe he'll be back.
