Official - Josh Reynolds Signs Megathread

Who cares I have left the Casino in wild all ins because others start trouble and sometimes you have to finish it. Have a cup of tea and a lie down if you think this is a drama.
This PC culture of offensive behaviour is a farce. We’ll lose Christmas and soon enough I’ll be jailed for calling my son a boy instead of a little person. These types of things make me embarrassed to be an Aussie.

Really? You're embarrassed to be an Aussie because of two things that you just made up? Perhaps you should take your own advice about having a cup of tea, a Bex and a good lie down. if these couple of things get your knickers in a knot. You'll only lose Christmas if you want to and why would you be gaoled for calling your son a boy? I've liked some of your posts but this one stretches credibility just a tad.

Sooo…has Josh been terminated for his torrent of abuse at the Uber driver...?

I don’t give two hoots about this rumour, true or not. I don’t want a Mother Theresa playing for and I certainly don’t want a woman basher or mass murderer playing for us either.

This story doesn’t go close to ripping up a contract.

I’ll back Josh to be a top player and embassador for the Wests Tigers.

Russell Packer has done his time and tried his hardest to change his life but to some people he’s still “that person”.

If you want to vent then aim it at Brisbane for signing Lodge, a serial sub-human.

No like button cq - so I'll just say - totally agree.

You could just about guarantee that Reynolds wasn't the only first grader turfed out of a venue over the mad Monday weekend. It's been reported a few times that he carries on like a pork chop on the drink. We all say and do stupid things when drinking. Maybe the change of scenery and culture will help Josh grow up a little bit off the paddock.

I grew up in Newcastle in 90s and without mentioning names saw a certain player/players who on the field was the reason their team was a success.
If anyone on this forum can actually say in there 20s they never had a bad night on the town would be very hypocritical.
My point being is these guys are young men and a bad night/experience does not sum up a person.
A career does.
I’m not condoning the culture of roughians at our club but let’s be realistic these guys hammer each other week in week out and we expect them to be angels!
That’s a big ask…..to have a team full of Steve Menzies or Paul Harrigons is not going to happen.

If you grew up in newy like me mate, I'm sure you know a few john's brothers who were often off their sausage at the Delaney or great Northern night after night.. and, as you say, there was nothing wrong with the knights culture. Chief was a great leader tho.

Being off your sausage is one thing, being off your sausage and punching people out for no good reason is quite another. Russell Packer anyone? Hopefully the story is BS anyway, otherwise please just stay off the drink Josh - you're a good bloke without it.

I dont know how true how this story is.
But ive havent heard a bad thing said about him from any playing group or any footballing circles to be honest.
As i mentioned above there were blokes in the knights team and many other teams in the 90s and 00s that did much worse and im not talking rumours, Actual indicressions.
Mark Geyer
Gordon Tallis
Andrew Johns
Bradley clyde
Todd Carney
Just to name a few who have been found guilty of acting like a complete muppet.
But …. all of the above eventually won premierships some won multiple comps and played at the highest level and all were very much vital to their clubs success and culture...on the field.

Some would call it passion, others would call it being a complete tosser and overreacting to a throw away line that is generally given when asked how you think your team is going to go. That's if the story is true, of course.

Sorry but I don't believe this story one iota.

Why not?.

Because it sounds made up. Simple.

lolz..a random internet post with absolutely nothing picked up in mainstream or wider social media and people got Reynolds pigeon holed..oh oh only if it's true..

Under 100 days til footy's back..tyty jebus…

I couldn’t care less whether the story is true or false, I’ve thought he was an idiot (and more importantly, an average player) for a long time,
What is curious is how many want to say it’s ok. Even if it’s true.
This bloke has taken over as the new Ballin already, can’t do a thing wrong.
Complete goose.

And all of them were vastly better players than Reynolds, which had a slight bearing on their premierships etc, LoL
And apart from Carney could control their brains when on a football field (on most occasions)

Why is it worth believing?

Good question. It's not a credible story. But some on this forum have made their mind up that they don't like Reynolds and are taking every opportunity to talk him down. I don't know if he's the answer for WT but I'm happy to give him the benefit of the doubt and wait until he pulls the boots on before I judge his football ability.

Haha chalk and cheese.

Some of these players were better than Reynolds by far but that’s not the point being made here.
The point is if he can have a positive impact on the field and with the team and help guide us back into the top eight and restore some pride in our colours than I couldn’t give rats backside what rubbish people are going to whinge over, because they don’t like him.

I remember the early Penrith interviews with Gus and Cleary.

No one was really a superstar. Lewis and Gordon had left.

Each player had 1 role that they did and did well. They brought on Brent Kite to do one thing and do it well (I honestly have no idea what, ok the guy tackled and got a premiereship…).

Reynolds isn't a superstar 5/8\. He is however a very good 5/8, he can get the ball over the line and he can defend. His worst attribute is his passing game, and I think Cleary can work that out with him.

So what's Reynolds one role? To be that passing option for Brooks. I.e. Brooks (or Marshall) looks to pass, he sees Reynolds on his inside and Suli on the outside.

I never said it was, none of us know either way,
We don’t know if he’s an idiot off the field, and frankly, I wouldn’t care if he was, it’s his stupidity ON the field that concerns me
