Official Moses Mbye signs till 2022..

4 years too long IMO, plus we don't get him till next year…what happens if Tui kills it at FB the rest of 2018?.

Tigers are still pushing for him to come mid year .
Mbye still wants to see out the year with the Dogs so he's not seen as being a dog !

At 24, we should be getting his best years. He's not the goal kicking saviour some are making him out to be though. No better than Tui in that area.

I've got no problem with 4 years, and i have no problem with waiting till 2019\. I don't need the instant gratification. I enjoy watching players we've signed for the following year playing for their current clubs. Builds the anticipation.

Mbye is definitely an upgrade at fullback but he is not top tier. If we are paying any more than 550k p.a at any stage of this contract we are paying overs. Cleary will improve him but the devil will be in the detail.

The Bulldogs supporters have just completely turned on Mbye and Paul Kent is saying Tigers are still looking to get it done before June 30.

The Kennel is at DEFCON 1
Mbye is now being compared to Ben Roberts :roll

Mbye was signed to the bulldogs until 2020\. ($750k per year)
Now that we have signed him from next year onwards,
will the dogs be paying part of his contract until 2020?

250k or so per year.

For the first 2 years .

So we get him for $500k for the first 2 years (2019 , 2020) and then his wage bill
jumps up to $750k for the following 2 years. (2021 and 2022)
Thats pretty good business if you ask me.

I get they are in a world of hurt cap wise, but why the hell would you give up arguably your best attacking player when you have no attack.

You would think he chose to leave mid season by the way they are blowing but in reality he was shopped around by his club and wanted to stay and help the club finish well.

Bulldogs board must be loving it that Mbye is taking the heat for mistakes made by management.

He's not top tier but there's room for improvement in him given he's only been playing there for half a season with a fairly clunky and unsettled set of rotating halves at Canetrbury. He can also be moved to 5/8, centre or bench utility if we manage to land a top tier fullback.

How can we get it done before June 30 if his contract starts in 2019????…GEO help us out here.....

If there is a position that Ivan would be a very good judge of it would be fullback.

Having Cleary and Hodgo as mentors I trust they will get the best out of him.

One thing that I do find pleasantly warming, is that we are starting to get other teams to pay players to be at our club, and not us paying players to line up against us.
Shows the healthy way forward our club is heading.

We're still 3 short with a month to go. What happens if we don't fill the roster?

We go to jail without passing GO…

You guys might laugh or say it is nothing but the only place we are going is outside the 8.

Fill the roster, and fill it with first graders.
