Someone on the last page posted a tweet saying the 4th year was negotiated today. The Dogs probably have had that statement ready to go for a couple of days.

Mbye is definitely an upgrade at fullback but he is not top tier. If we are paying any more than 550k p.a at any stage of this contract we are paying overs. Cleary will improve him but the devil will be in the detail.

4 years is a bit long but in saying that Mbye has a rare ability to play a number of positions well.

I assume he’ll start at fullback but if we have a junior fullback jump out of the ground Mbye can play halves or centre well. Can even cover hooker if he had to.

Hopefully he comes this year.
