It's pretty tedious people making this claim… I see nothing along the lines of everyone thinks he's some messiah... No one's saying it so cut the crap
He would however imo be an improvement to our roster

Sorry mate, but it has certainly been inferred, not just in those exact words. As stated before everybody is entitled to their opinion, including me. I have also said he would be a great addition as a utility and I am glad you agree he would be an improvement on our roster. Crap?

Putting words in people’s mouth to support an argument.
I haven’t seen “the messiah” comment anywhere else except here.

Neither have I. If you bother reading the paragraph above that you just replied to, I said inferred.

I don’t think many have the belief he will be a messiah what you inferred they think he will, I think most of us that like the signing believe he will certainly help us achieve the goal of making finals, Being a player who has a more to offer than what we have had in the past.
I did read the paragraph above that’s why I posted a reply.

Sharks are offering 450k take it or leave it to the Dogs. I know the deal was signed off by the Sharks last week.

I don’t rate Woods but it makes no sense paying 450k for him to play elsewhere for the Dogs a capable replacement would cost at least 350k. It saves peanuts.

Doubt they would agree to that, but at that price, I certainly would not mind him back.

We won’t commit that money to another prop in either case. Other holes to fill Woods doesn’t fit he is a high minute plodder ala Tolman. We have good props but need an impact prop off the bench basically the opposite of Woods. To run hard, hit hard and cover for 30 minutes a game.

A Sam Moa, Ava type player.

Ava? Pleeeaaase!!!!!!!

Matagi from parra. I don’t understand why Arthur keeps leaving him out of the team. He’s better than 29-minute Mannah

Apparently Bulldogs don't want to pay anything and sharks wont budge unless Dogs pay majority.

Trent said today Roosters are definitely not interested.

Can only see Newcastle paying a huge amount but that might not be a good enough club to carry Woods to a finals series like he wants.

Good player but no where near 900k, I am glad we didn't sign him for that much.

The only reason why Woods is on $800k-$900k is not because he is worth it (obviously other clubs aren't convinced)…its because the Tigers were offering him upwards of $1m per year to keep him here, and his Manager used that figure as a bargaining chip elsewhere and now regrettably the dogs fell for it....Woods is a $600k player tops....and now clubs are realizing this is his true value,... haha..If I were Woods I'd say to the Dogs..."I'm staying here for the next 3.5 years"...!

From another clubs perspective, Woods is not worth caving to the Dogs for. Play hardball with them and milk them for every cent you can. If the Dogs don’t cave, what are you missing out on, really? A 450k limit from the Sharks sounds reasonable.

Wasn't it also that Woods was nothing more than a lure to get Tedesco and Moses? He's been played, his manager has not looked after his interests and of course he upset identities at WTs.

Somehow the Mbye thread has turned into the woods thread…

I don't think that this is the first thread that has wandered off course.

This is continued off topic but both sharks and dogs are idiots if they think they get what they want. 450k is way to low. Dogs won't pay half his freight. Dogs thinking they won't have to pay anything is idiotic as well. 550-600k would be reasonable for both parties.

Not sure where you got your info from Wests offered Sharon 1m a season but it's not correct.

Can’t believe we offered that much. Agree he’s a $600K player tops.

Maybe Dean Pay told Woods that if he stays he’ll play reserve grade for 3.5 years?
