Was JMK our Junior as well? I wonder how many players are running around in the NRL that have come through our juniors system but the commentators conveniently think it's only Brisbane, Penrith and Knights that produce the entire NRL's nurseries.
But then at the same time, they will criticise us for not "keeping the players"

Talking about Organica, I’ve had some time to marinate this idea of the previously 3 sacked club legends, and Am starting to develop a taste for it, providing the hunger is there from them.
I’ve always thought the club should develop as an organisation, improved practices, clearly defined responsibilities, strong teamwork, winning systems and procedures, but more importantly reputation building of each and every employee, regardless of their role.
This is a step in the right direction imo.
The concept of developing our own players (not just paying lip service), or developing our own coaches is no different to developing our own admin staff.
People have basically, in broad terms, two skill sets, one from occupation and the other from their variety of interests, hobbies and other social activities.
If the club needs a position filled and has a preference for internal promotion, then it means they are constantly looking at everyone in terms of what skills they have and how they can develop those skills, before they go to the market.

That’s all well and good, to be fair I’m all for it.
But that’s not what happened here.
From what we know, our number one and number two targets were external hire. There could also have been others.
The mantra of promoting and building from within is a good one. A lot of fans praising the decision raise this point.
For those of us remaining sceptical or even against this decision though, the fact that this was not the plan when they knifed Maguire is more telling.

I agree 100%, and my fear is, when they see it’s not working on the ladder, they “decide to go in another direction.” The idea that getting the band back together came out of a Shiraz bottle only provides optimism for the blind faithful or those totally inebriated.

We had that for the last 3.5 years with the slogans and the nonsense peddled about culture change.
Well said,what we have in place now is not what was intended when the knifing happened.At best it is Plan "B" although i have no doubt it was a spur of the moment decision to try and limit the criticism from supporters.Time will tell on just how good an idea that was if at all

Yes I agree, Maguire exposed the issues and tried to make changes without much help or backing, this is why Ciraldo didn’t come imo. Kudos to Madge who showed them the mirror and got numbers built up against him because they didn’t like what they saw.
Anyway, they may have learned something from Madge?

Paws, I can’t share your hatred of Madge, from what I could see he had upset a few people because of his aggressive winning style. The number grew to a point where some players and front office were being negative toward the club. I personally didn’t like Madge’s approach, much prefer the counsellor style, and the more the players rejected it, the harder Madge went. I thought he had mellowed after the first review. The majority of players played for Madge.
This is and has been a real issue for WT. key people getting ostracised, then sacked, because of poor lines of communication.
Don't need him with all the hookers we have.

Farah has spoken. Via the daily telegraph:
Robbie Farah says he is ready to play his role as part of the trio who have been brought in to save the Tigers.
Farah will step up his involvement with the NRL side next season as a full-time assistant coach having worked with the squad on a part-time capacity in the past two years.
He will do so alongside Tim Sheens and Benji Marshall. Unlike Marshall who has clear ambitions to be a first grade coach, Farah said he was unsure if it was a path he wanted to pursue. He has been given the position for the next two seasons.
“The motivation is to work alongside Benji and Tim to get this club back to where it belongs,” Farah said. “There is no doubt it’s going to be a bit challenge. None of us are happy with how the club has performed.
“When the club approached me about going back into footy full-time it was something I had to consider. I have a lot going on away from footy and it’s something that I’ve enjoyed. But none of those businesses give you the purpose and get competitive juices flowing like footy does. Benji was 100 per cent committed to head coaching. For me I don’t know.”
Farah has spent time running the blue shirt for the Tigers and has transitioned into sitting alongside interim coach Brett Kimmorley in the box in recent weeks. He said Sheens and Marshall have a pretty clear mandate about the style of football they want to play.
“The game went through a phrase a lot of structured footy, wrestle but we’ve seen with the new rule changes the game has opened up,” Farah said. “The way Tim coached us was to be creative, confident and back our ability and play that Tigers style of footy. When it is done well it can be very productive and positive.
“For us we will be providing our players with the platform to express themselves and showcase their talents.”
The trio also want to ensure the best Tigers juniors stay with the club. Farah hopes their status in the game may also attract players to the club.
“We speak about the kids coming through and it is a similar crop to when myself and Benji were coming through,” Farah said. “There is no one better than Sheensy to nurture them and for us to learn. It’s an attraction for kids to stay and play under Tim, Benji and myself and when Benji takes over he will be a huge attraction for players.”

I know peachy has turned out to be a disappointing signing 2 years contract
$750k or $375 k per year slightly above ave Nrl player of $310 k . So the contract was not so crazy for a guy who had occasional match winning games for Penrith and Gold Coast .
But !! What has gone wrong is his weak effort with discipline and defence this seems to happen too often with our signings but what I am getting at is it the signing that was wrong or the coaching and motivation and the attitude adjustment for these guys once they get here
So is it best to offload him or get him very fit and motivated and make him perform like he used to years ago
I'm open minded some situations can be salvaged and some cant

Many of the ingenious inventions that give our lives a hassle-free life were created entirely by accident.
One of them inventions, is what we call Champagne, The sparkling bubbly white wine that is consumed in every major celebration.
This invention was when, in the winter months The people of the region of champagne had a problem with making their wine with the fermentation process, so they invited the French monk named Dom Pierre Perignon to come to Champagne and help them to solve this problem.
By the time that Perignon had realised that he could not fix the problem the people of the region had decided that they actually loved to drink this problematic wine and wanted to keep making more of it. So, Perignon developed the official process for the problem by making it even fizzier.
What i'm trying to say here is this, over the past many years, those who have worked with and have a high regard for T Sheens have said that Sheens is one of the greatest of coaches in the League's modern era, he did and invent things in the game that appeared incredibly exciting that brought this club unexpected success which no other coach had thought of or dared to imagine before him.
Whether these new appointments of the three legends were planned or it's another one of the accidental inventions it doesn't matter.
What matters is that these three legends are highly respected and are smart and knowledable enough as any other, (Ciraldo,Morris,Payten,etc).
And with the new CoE and the much better managed junior pathways, I do have this strong feeling now that we will be enjoying some Perignon champagne in the very near future.
