Good luck boys. If they play to potential they should eliminate the Broncos.

Can moses return at any point in the finals?

No and not 100% sure but I think he had surgery on his leg again.

At the end of the day though, only Payten has himself to blame with not having Moses for finals!
Moses was limping around the field during his 1st game back after having his pins out, yet Payten still played Moses with his injury for 80mins over 5-6 weeks before that Dragons game!
Tbh, I had been saying for weeks prior to the Dragons game that Moses should not be playing and was continually surprised when he was named each week… thats how bad it looked from the stands week in and week out before that round! It actually made me feel quite angry at the fact that this young gun is our future 5/8 and Payten is still playing him injured?! And at what point will Payten and Co uphold their player welfare Duty of Care??

And IMO if there wasn't all that negative media about Payten leaving him on for that game as long as he did, I think he would still be playing!!

You really dislike Payten dont you TigerCrib? Every single one of your posts has a go at him. Is he really evil incarnate?

It is because he dropped Rudolph last year before the semis, that hurt "TigerCrib" but they did win the comp so Payten's decision was totally vindicated. You need to get over it brother.

I doubt this was completely paytens doing re: moses. the trainer, MOSES and medical staff woulda had a big say in it too. He came off for half time and payten obviously woulda talked to moses who would have been saying he wants to stay there for the team im guessing. If he was in fact saying take me off, im useless like this and payten said no. Then that is todd's fault. But no one here will know that.

From my understanding Moses didn't get over his initial injury but kept training and then playing while not right, given that a player must get medical clearance when coming back from injury the coach would be mad not to play one of his best players. It's not up to the coach to determine who is fit to play even after getting a knock during the game the decision is left to the Medical team.

Oh please how narrow minded can u be? Sorry to disappoint but I'm just not that petty!!
My posts are reflected by my professional background as a coach educator and experience in youth HP player development.
As I have said previously, I do think he is a good coach with potential and there are things I do like about his coaching, BUT there are also some areas of his coaching/player development that are a bit green for such an important developmental stage in these boys careers!

Yes maybe I should make an effort to highlight more of the good things about his coaching in my posts but I think enough of you do that on here already! I'm simply trying to highlight the reality in his coaching and that he does have deficiencies and maybe he is not as 'ready' to coach FG single handedly as many may think!
I do agree however that a position as an assistant coach will do his coaching a world of good because he does have a lot of learning to do yet!

What player would say take me off I'm useless? I actually made reference to Payten and Co meaning medical staff ect! I'm pretty sure Payten would communicate with the medical staff even during a game!
My question is, at what point do the medical staff over ride Payten and Moses? It was obvious Moses was in a lot of pain so where is the line drawn to remove him from a game and who really does have the final say?

I agree that Payten likley had too much success to early and the thought of him assistant coaching first grade does not excite me at all. I love having him at the club, but believe he is getting it to easy to quickly.

That pack looks very strong, but I think the backs look weak defensively, particularly in the centres. I expect the Broncos to run their big boys out wide all game.

NYC Match Preview: Elimination Final v Broncos

Under 20s halfback Luke Brooks believes anyone in the top eight race can take out the NYC title as Wests Tigers prepare to tackle the Broncos on Sunday.

Wests Tigers bounced back from consecutive losses with an impressive 48-14 victory over the Cowboys last week to finish the regular season in fifth spot.

While the side looked to have hit form in the eight-try romp, Brooks said there are areas the team still need to work on.

“It was good to get some form going into the finals this week although we’ve still got a lot to improve on, hopefully we can get it right for Sunday,” Brooks said.

“The competition is very close, I think anyone in the top eight can win it.”

Brooks won’t be taking the eighth-placed Broncos lightly, with both sides recording one victory each from their two clashes earlier this year.

“The Broncos are a tough team, it’s a different side to the one we played earlier in the year.

“Corey Oates (injured) coming back down to Under 20s would’ve been a huge boost for the Broncos, but they still have plenty of players we need to be wary of.

Should the Wests Tigers win on Sunday, it will set up a blockbuster semi-final against the loser of the Raiders-Bulldogs clash.
