Officiating this year

It felt like our game was just full of square ups after the 1st missed forward pass ....it was shocking for both sides

Brooks was a metre offside when we got awarded that try .....can't believe they didn't watch it again lol 😆
Seems like tit for tat HT. What a way to referee a game !

The linespeople aren't much help to the refs. Seems they are taught to perfect the "buggered if I know look" in ref school.

The bunker needs to go.
It has provided too much of a crutch for the on field guts which means refs don’t have to back their opinions anymore, as it’ll be checked for them.

The set restarts need to go.
They happen so quickly, no one really knows why they were awarded. Does anyone actually check if they were warranted? It seems an easy avenue to manipulate games.

Touch judges need to get involved more. They seem nothing more than window dressing currently who confirm when a goal is kicked.
When set restarts were first introduced you had no idea what the discretion was for. Now they state the reason on TV... ruck infringement, etc etc. I'm not sure what to think of 6 agains, it seems as though there are a lot more penalties being given. Are teams pushing the boundaries more or are we actually getting more penalties?

Let's not forget the opening possession of the Knights game where the bunker overruled the on field decision of try, and said in the bunker's "opinion" the ball was knocked on, not that there was clear evidence, but an opinion.

In the Raiders game, there were multiple forward passes, a few from Wighton & a few from hooker Woolford, that weren't called, but later in the game, they called a pass forward against them that definitely wasn't forward.

The random officiating is atrocious & it harms the games.

I spoke to a reserve grade touchie a few years ago at a pub on Anzac Day, and he told me that all refs have an ego & they usually don't listen to touchies. He mentioned Shane Hayne was the worst for his ego, but most of them think the same, they don't want the help of the touchies, they want to make the decisions on their own.

No real accountability for the mistakes these idiots make often costing teams games. Sick of Annesley's pathetic excuses. Watch that "blind" linesman get another first grade gig next week!

Life's changed since then - the Bunker overrules the refs now.

"Canberra star Jack Wighton has been charged with contrary conduct after accusing referee Peter Gough of “trying hard” to help the Wests Tigers."

Love to know what drugs Wighton was on

They admitted guthrrson stripped Liddle and should've been a saints try... Cost them the game and. Parras 2 poinT's will have serious ramifications for 8th spot in a moth... Will liky cost a team a finals spot

Isn’t that just great…the game is so fast you’d think these refs would be begging for help.

Every week teams are getting robbed by terrible calls and the bunker is powerless to do anything about it. They introduced the bunker to try and eliminate the howlers, but we are still getting them and they can’t do anything about it
