Officiating this year

The refs lack confidence, that's the main thing. I wonder if it's the quality of the candidates, because we are so far off the likes of Harrigan, Tim Mander, Greg McCallum etc. Those blokes were far from perfect, but you appreciated an authoritative and therefore fairly consistent ref.

The current crop of refs are really weak personalities, considering Klein and Sutton are the top of the reffing tree and they are both quite mercurial, inconsistent, alarmist, knee-jerk.

In some ways I agree with Phil Gould, who says the Bunker has taken so much responsibility and authority off the refs that they are afraid to make a mistake, so they end up making almost no decisions at all. Then blokes in the bunker, who don't have a feel for how the match is actually playing out at the field, give directives from the TV screen.

I am personally sad that Cecchin retired; I thought he was the best ref of the last few years.

Cecchin was the only decent ref we had at the time and he was hounded out of the ranks by people who did not have his ability or understanding of the game. The refereeing situation has never been worse imho

Watching Panthers Win it seems the 50/50 calls go to the top teams .2 tries by Panthers maybe dubious .I thought Penrith were the better team but that's not the point !

There is a bias against the bottom teams .Whether its an unconscious one or a conscious one .I leave that up to you .Raiders Got 2 tries from forward passes yesterday that's a fact
The first try in the 2nd half was so blatant and with a touch judge standing right in line I can only assume he felt intimidated by the Canberra bench nearby ?
Annessleys technique is to hand pick a couple of weekend events that were genuinely
50/50 calls and discuss them at length .Avoid the events that are straight out really bad calls
Has everyone noticed the attention to forward passes this round and how frequently they are calling them. Always happens after a game we are robbed over blatantly. NEVER forgive Kline

Yes. It always happens. We cop it hard, then the following weeks they over compensate the mistakes they made against us. It's always us who cop it first, then we cop the over correction against us the following weeks. I understand those who try to not blame officials, and I admire that mindset, but this year has been mind blowinging bad against us.

Happens to us all the time. Should change our mascot to the Guinea Pigs.

Big Dipshit Tino broke Apis jaw, rubbed him out of origin, Stefs elbow hit a guy in the upper chest and its a penalty on report.

Thousands of examples of the Tigers being screwed over the last 2 decades. Would love to have the ability to put together a 60 min highlight video of dud calls against the Tiger's.
