OK let's be honest now

OK so how do people feel today? Attack clicked but defence not quite as good as previous weeks. Ironically we win by 10 today, scored 30 and I'd guess for most people this is the least impressive / satisfying win of the year so far?

You are off ys head…...enjoyed that win the most. .

Our forwards trampling Slimey for points was the best

I've just read a fair bit of complaining and nerves that we didn't put Parra right away, less exultation than when we pipped Roosters and Storm.

Just wanted to get the win I didn't care how ugly it was.

I feel like losing yesterday would have undone all the good work we had done so far this year.

Now we are building confidence and a very real chance of making Storm not go back to back since 2015.

Totally agree with you. The guys proved they could bounce back after a loss. Important bit of character building there. I really dont care how they win. Just win.

And really after the first 15 minutes Parramatta was never in the game, even when the scored a couple in garbage time. So I guess to all the nay sayers out there. How good is it to play as bad as you claim the team did and STILL win.

Thats the mark of a good side.

It seemed a bit like - as our attack improved or defense dropped off. Line speed was an issue against Parra - we gave them time to wind up and they made a lot of metres in their sets. We stood and waited for them to come to us. Fortunately they had little in attack for the most part of the game but certainly there were a few old habits creeping in at times towards the end of the game. Ivan and the boys seemed to recognise this however and I'm sure Ivan will work hard on it this week.
Didn't Liddle add some spark out of D/H, now he needs to work on his match fitness so that we can have either JR or Benji on the bench which will give Ivan some more options during a game.

Thank you for that lesson - I don't think anyone on here was aware of what happened over the past three years.

Why do we have to regurgitate all the crap over and over again.

Can't we just enjoy the "New Wests Tigers" and the wins they are giving us. Lol

I take your point (and removing my :deadhorse: comments).

I only say we need to give it to Tallis. Happy if we boo him out of the game.

Meanwhile, your right. Inconvenient truth. We need to talk IC, Marshall, Tui, etc not Moses or any past players.
Its early, but I can't believe where our team is at performance wise.

Quite happy to give it to Tallis and Boo with you!

The umpires were blowing the pea out of the whistle anytime there was a flicker of doubt someone was offside.

I’d wager they were told to slow the line speed to ensure we didn’t give away penalties.

Seemed that the Refs eased up on the penalties on the Raiders game tonight.
If they drop off on the penaltiy crackdown we will find it a lot harder to beat the Storm this time.
But if they go back to the penaltiy barrage, we’re in with a chance.

Penalty count WT 18 Storm 8…conceded...

😱pen_mouth:

I hope they drop off too...i have heard some lame excuses why we have won games but this one takes the cake

I reckon they dropped off in the last 4 games last round too, including ours. May or may not be intentional, perhaps the players are being more disciplined, but it's definitely died down a bit.

Huh? So, we can win if we are caned with penalties again, but if we don't get penalised we lose?

What excuses are you talking about,
I was referring to the fact that if the storm were bombarded with penalties they would be easier to beat, as they are not used to having refs disrupt their game along , And still think that.
Smith is letting it get under his skin too
We have won our games by playing better than the opposition( due to Cleary’s ability to get the best from the team)
Our defence is what has kept us in games Unlike in previous years.
Geez theres some touchy types around here

Well in the 1st game they weren't they only gave up 8 and we beat them…same as this game they gave away less and we still beat them...

so you comment about the storm giving away penatlies makes even less sense...

Huh? I meant if the refs caned the Storm we would find it easier, but if they weren’t caned it wouldn’t help us

It was in reference to the way the storm fell apart in the game when Smith was sin binned after not being to control the game

You were right. If the refs penalised the ruck and ten like the first three rounds we win easily.
