something i was thinking the other day about james maloney. he has been let go of or moved from storm, warriors and roosters. so that's bellamy, cleary and robinson- wonder why such great coaches would let him go after being successful

Gee watching this game we deserved to be at the bottom of the ladder we can't compete at this level. You need a coach where you learn and develop as player and the coaches at these teams have those coaches as does the Storm and Cowboys.

Great footy to watch.

Having a team containing 6 or 7 Origin players makes a difference also. 'Supercoach Bennett' wouldn't do much better with our squad than what Potter or Taylor have, a bit better maybe but you can't make a silk purse outta a sow's ear. We saw how great a coach Bennett was in his last year at Newcastle, you need the right cattle at the end of the day.

Every storm forward should wash Munsters car and mow his lawn next season, he is phenomenal. He is everywhere and does everything, deserves triple what he's paid.

Probably the worst game from Cronk I've ever seen, his kicking was atrocious and it made life hard for the Storm because of it.

After their incredible game in the first week of the finals, I reckon we now have the best possible match up for the Grand Final. Should be a cracker of a game, even if they are both Qld teams :neutral_face:

Like i said earlier , it's more of a disadvantage than an advantage having a week off and advancing to week 3 if you win the 1st week of the Semis . IMO

They were all at sea weren't they, makes you wonder how the storm got so far with such bad communication in defence between them, they looked like they'd never played together or defended in those positions ever.

It looked like all of Coopys sinews werent aligned. 'The Greatest Player In The History Of The Game' Cammy was weak as urine out there as well, so much for a captain leading by example- he was very ordinary indeed. Matty Johns is gonna have to find a new player to get a mongrel over after that effort.

I posted at the start of the season The Cowboys would win the comp which a lot of forum members agreed with. The difference this year is they found a 5/8 in Morgan and a hooker in Granville which were their missing pieces. Their pack is awesome and JT is 80 minutes away from being a future Immortal. I love the WT but only Teddy, Woods and Taupau could make The Cowboys side with Woods and Taupau off the bench. Teddy is better than Coote. I think it will be a high scoring Grand Final and full of attack. Bring it on.

When your communication is bad then someone with pace can just shred you. When Morgan was getting outside his man and creating overlaps they were in big trouble. Mann looked particularly bad on O'Neill's second try, he had no idea who was getting the ball and just fell on his ass.

You did indeed, Everett and I think my response to that was something along the lines of: _"Never! The Cowboys are Queensland's version of Cronulla - the Premiership will always elude them"._ I'm gonna look like a right royal idiot if they end up winning :blush:

My only possible redemption for that somewhat mis-informed comment is that I stated on here, at the halfway mark of the comp, that the Broncos will win the Premiership. Hopefully they will indeed end up winning the GF, so that I can look like a tipping genius instead of a hapless chump :laughing:
