Not sure sorry. Penrith are VERY well stocked for front rowers though so the kid probably isn't going to get a chance there anytime soon. If he's anything like Twal he'll be handy.
 
I heard on the weekend that Penrith have 10 000 juniors playing RL each weekend.

Thats A sizable pool
 
Watched his first stint last weekend and was very unimpressed. Made about 3 runs for 20m, and made about 6-7 tackles. As a starting prop that's really not good enough for the first 20-25 min period.

Didn't run hard, seemed very slow and lethargic across the field. Compared all the hulking hard running forwards they have he seems like the exact opposite.

Stats show he averages about 60-70m a game and 20 tackles, well down on our current props in nsw cup. Maybe harsh to judge on 20 mins, not sure how many mins he averages a game and this would influence his stats, but he reminded me of a Steve Trindall type of lumbering big guy.

Don't know if this will happen. JJ hasn't even got close to getting a gig in 1st grade this year with even Sue and Grant jumping ahead of him in the queue. Seems like Ivan doesn't really rate him.
 
Is there any news on who we have signed or upgraded. Jelly Egan was pretty precise in saying there are 25 under contract with 5 to be signed and the best cap position in 3 years. I can only think of 20 players that are signed next year.

Even though I started following the WT from the Balmain side, I think that they should be starting to look at the Macathur Area.
It seems to be the growth area of Sydney, if properly developed we might have 10,000 juniors.
Just a thought, from someone out of the Sydney area.
You guys might know better.

Woods, Brooks, Moses, Suli, Douelhi and Tatola have come from the Balmain juniors in recent years. We cannot afford to ignore this area otherwise another inner city team will take an interest. Our issue is that we failed to retain Douelhi and Tatola who have both become permanent NRL players in a good team. It goes back to identification and retention. Also the Macarthur area for its size has underperformed.

Panthers has granted Tom Eisenhuth and Oliver Clark an immediate release from their respective contracts with the club to pursue opportunities elsewhere in the NRL.

25-year-old utility Eisenhuth made his lone NRL appearance for the Panthers in 2012 and was a member of the club's premiership-winning Intrust Super Premiership NSW side last season.

Clark, 21, was part of the club's premiership-winning National Youth Competition side of 2015 and has gone on to play 48 games for Panthers in the ISP competition.

"Tom and Oliver have both come through the Panthers development system," Panthers Executive General Manager Phil Gould AM said.

"They are great kids with tremendous attitude to their football and training.

"If we can't provide our players with positions in the NRL, we have never stood in the way of them chasing their dreams and taking up NRL opportunities elsewhere.

"We wish Tom and Oliver the very best of luck and will follow their careers with great interest."

Seems that way but when your club has such a wealth of talent in the system ..it could be said this does not mean you are not able to play NRL but the opportunity has not been forth coming , I look at the unknowns that pop up at the Storm as an example.
 
Wests Tigers have today confirmed two player movements, with JJ Felise to depart the club and Oliver Clark to join, both effective immediately.

Felise, who was off contract at the end of 2018, has been granted an immediate release to take up an opportunity at another club.

The 22 year has played 13 games for Wests Tigers since making his debut in Round 7, 2016.

Wests Tigers would like to thank JJ for his efforts while at the club and wish him well in the future.

Clark, a Quakers Hill junior, will be with Wests Tigers until at least the end of the 2020 season.
