If we still had him where would we have been on the ladder id sheens actually bothered to play him and Imagine how good we would have been going with a proper halfback, five eight and Hooker.

Yep, it's Sheens' fault for not picking up a 10 year old kid while he was coach at the Cowboys

He actually brought through a very capable halfback in Robert Lui who, IMO was playing as good as if not better than Reynolds, and was looking set to be our half for the next era. Unfortunately that ended in ill circumstances and we're back to square one. Players like Lui, Reynolds, Cherry-Evans etc only come around so often - we'll have our time. From all reports, the junior halves, Moses and Brooks, have the potential.

some fans are deluded, lui never reached anywhere near the level that Reynolds already has

So why have we fallen in a heap without him this yr?

he created structure but he's half the player Reynolds is. Plus I have absolutely no respect for lui as a person regardless of how important he was to the team

So why have we fallen in a heap without him this yr?

That is not the reason "we have fallen into a heap" this year the reason is we have so many ageing players in our club that arent playing as they used to Benji and Tquiri to name some. Roberts has never been as good as Reynolds and never will be, Reynolds is a future SOO halfback and Lui is a wife basher.

What Lui did off-field is irrelavent to the influence he had on it. It seems people refuze to acknowledge any contribution he had on the field all because he stuffed up off it. No one is condoning what he did, but if your using that to influence your opinion of him as a player then you are the one who is deluded

Read what I said again, he had a good pass and rarely a good kicking game. Reynolds has him covered with kicking, goal kicking, running and speed. There's a reason at least half of the tigers fan base never liked him, don't forget how many tries he let in from horrible defence

I think Reynolds is a champion player, but please explain what level he has reached that Lui hadn't. There's no need to make a point, when you don't have one.

Robert Lui - 5 Final Appearances
Adam Reynolds - 0 Final Appearances

This is about the only differences between the 2 players. Both are good running 5/8's…

Yes, I totally agree. My question is how would Reynolds have handled being outside of Marshall. We will never know. Lui handled it with class and added further class to our back line.

yes it is hahaha so appearing in finals games automatically means you're a great player?

I'm not questioning that, I'm just saying I think Reynolds is a better player. If he gets rookie of the year would you say he has achieved more or not until he has origin or a premiership to his name?

I feel Adam will go on and become a very very good footballer… I think Robert will also go on and be a very very good player.

Adam is mentally tougher than Robert, but Robert possibly has an edge in his running game to be somewhat more dynamic.

I'm looking forward to watching both these boys develop and mature!

They'll both (Woods, Reynolds) play Origin…imagine starting at 7yo ...then ending up again in the same team in front of 80000 fans...these stories are what makes rugby league great

That wasnt the story

@Tiger Watto said:
No, but it means Lui achieved more than the guy your talking up!

Pretty silly really….on one hand yous are talking **individual** players, and then comparing **team** achievments

Id have AR over RL if I had the choice.

That wasnt the story

Thanks scoop....but it will be

All I know is I wish we had either Lui or Reynolds at the moment

The only 3 seasons (2005,2010 and 2011 ) we have looked the goods is with a true half back

Even then, in 06 we had Prince but I guess his mind was elsewhere, what with Satts in his ear 24/7….and Lui, imo...is a 5/8....but we were organised then...and stable in the spine
