If we had have gone there full-time at the same time ad the squeals then it would be just accepted as home by now.
Nowhere feels like home to me.
That’s why we should just build something new , in association with say the bulls and maybe the dogs . Eg. Liverpool . Much like the COE it creates a refresh, and a way to build new memories . C town and the 8th wonder , bankwest , etc . Just have so many bad ones .
I think Liverpool would be awesone.
So do I, but I don't think it is a realistic option for the club
Do you mean they wouldn't see it as an option?
I don't think so no, I may be wrong but it is the impression I got.
That’s ridiculous really . It’s our catchment , it’s a new ground so no baggage , and it’s not that far really , from Ashfield concord . Plus it’s a hub for train lines . Also with the teams nearby , it could easily be sold to say the nsw government.
What are thier preferences Cochise ? Because the current model , is reall reall unsustainable. And I’m a Balmain roots , 8th wonder , supporter . But that ground needs to be against Souths once a year IMO. Much like the Stadium Australia , Easter clash against the eels .
There are a few things against Liverpool. It is not near the COE or Wests Ashfield. Also it would be a boutique stadium restricted to 20K capacity. That would place us at a great disadvantage against other teams with grounds with greater capacity. It would ensure Wests Tigers were only ever a second tier club.
Why not make it the same size as bankwest ? Easy fix . Having it smaller isn’t necessarily bad . Much like Leichhardt , it makes the experience a premium one , which means if the demand can build to enough , you can sell the seats that are around the players near the sidelines , or corporate boxes for way more . It’s literally the American model . They only get 10k max to most basketball and baseball games . But that’s how it’s sold . We won’t make the revenue of that because it’s 80 games and 163 games respectively , 41 home and 81 home , but the point remains .
Because the government won't. The plans would be for smaller 20K grounds.
Says who ? The only reason Brookvale and Others are being sold that way to the government is because , PVL and the NRL have that agenda atm . If you head there with enough of a business case , there’s no way they wouldn’t shift . Plus your talking about 10k extra seats . I’m sure that’s not just a 50% increase to total costs .
The PVL has.
No he hasn’t . He’s put an emphasis on boutique grounds , key word ; emphasis ie. it takes priority , meaning that other options take a less of a priority . I don’t see anything there saying all options are off the table . Just merely there’s a pecking order . Hence what I originally said , about developing a plan that , and a partnership that would change that .
Don’t bother replying mate , as I’m sure it will be a “I’m right your wrong type thing “ defeating the whole purpose of conversation .
Could be wrong, but was pretty sure the Stadium that were to be built were limited to 20k.
Good luck to you and your campaign. Can’t see it happening nor really should it.
The Wests Tigers are born out of two inner city clubs. The inner city is where the COE is. The inner city is where the club headquarters are. The home ground should be as close to these locations as possible. I know you disagree and that’s OK.
What campaign ? And where is this magical ground , going to be located . SFS - nope , Stadium Aus , maybe , if the refurb goes ahead , not looking good though .... and nothing .
It’s a pragmatic idea . I just said . I’m from the tigers side and the inner city . But there’s no spot for a ground .
And there’s no reason why our home ground can’t be a distance away . Sooo many sporting teams in the world have this setup .
