Whether it's used by us or someone else, Liverpool will get a stadium.

There will be nearly half a million people in the LGA within 20 years plus a new airport.

It will 100% go ahead.

You seem pretty sure of that. Any idea when?

My information is second hand but from what I have heard, not soon.

The government can not build enough schools in these new areas or supply any decent infrastructure as well in the areas around Liverpool ...now that's a vote winner build a $100 million stadium but the parents have no schools any decent bus services or medical services in the area where these one million people will be living .. Move on from Liverpool it is not happening !

The way I see it now is that at this stage if WT cannot make the decision due to internal politics / fan rivalries / whatever that NRL HQ should make the decision both in terms of short term and medium term with new grounds being built.

For me options both plus and minus exist for Campbelltown / Liverpool, Leichhardt, ANZ Stadium, Sydney Ground (still to be finished), Parramatta Stadium and even Concord Oval (if we are talking redevelopment).

If we cant sort it out, someone has too.

I think VLandy's could be pretty persuasive. He wants Liverpool built and probably won't get it over the line without us playing there along with the dogs.

The NSW Govt came out and explicitly said they will not pay for it.

Its not what I'm being told. I guess we'll see.

Labor Territory Gladys won't pay for that at liverpool

I'm just going on what I'm told. I'm not saying it's going to happen100% ,but there seems to be a lot who know that it won't happen100%.

The premier said it wouldnt happen and they have allocated $0 in the budget for it...........what would you say those odds are?

https://www.austadiums.com/news/852/limited-funds-for-sydney-stadiums-in-nsw-budget

I cant find it but Gladys specifically said it in an interview. There is no money for it and no plans for money for it. Its not happening.

Yeah I doubt very much that this particular Coalition State Government would put any money towards a stadium in a Labor strong hold. I just can’t see it happening.

I'm guessing the NRL are going to keep agitating about it. The one thing the NRL has very significant clout with are the SOO and GF, and where they are played annually. Worth a lot of money to state economies.

It would be the only way. I could not see the State Coalition Government volunteering the funds. They would have to be coerced into it.

Well they did it just recently, it's only COVID that changed their minds. Whether or not that money reappears in the budget remains to be seen. Libs are still hell-bent on spending their way to prosperity, so you never know.

We should play all our home games at Wollongong Stadium..

75% win ratio..

Leichhardt Oval fortress

You’d have build a moat around it to stop the opposing team entering. That’s the only way you could call it a fortress.

Ok maybe I’m poking the bear here but 8,400 people to one of only a handful of games at CSS at a family friendly timeslot and a tribute match for a Magpies legend.... can someone explain to me what Wests Tigers are doing wrong in Campbelltown? I get the team is not doing great but we came off a good win last week and we still couldn’t draw a crowd.

The team is not based at Campbelltown and so local support is low. It’s not a local team. That’s my take on it.

I would say that todays crowd had more to do with the covid outbreak then anything else.

Were there restrictions?
