How much longer?

Just need Benny to give last rites.

I don’t think WA really gives a hoot tbh in regards to the football side of the business..

It shows. I'm not sure Wests tigers care either.

Western Quokka’s !
Brooks could be the mascot ?

The thing I'm most envious about with other teams is they (mostly) have the one home stadium yet here we are after 20 years still trying to appeal to foundation club supporters by evenly hosting games at our traditional grounds and wondering why people aren't showing up.

It must be hard for the football team to be 100% bought into our culture (whatever that is at the moment) when we are the gypsy team of the NRL, moving from stadium to stadium, each one a novelty.

It's more and more obvious we need to pick and stick with one home ground (it could be in Alaska for all I care) and put all of our resources into building that area/stadium up yet no chairman or CEO has had the kahunas to do it.

Why?

Mick Liubinskas Was at the game last night.

Tigers don’t buy it
The bosses of Wests Ashfield love the passion of Tigers great Benny Elias. They respect everything he did for Balmain. It is the only reason they met with him on Tuesday to discuss a proposal to buy Wests Tigers. They have no intention of selling to Elias or anyone else.

When it comes to the Tigers, internal drama is never far away. Recently removed board member Mick Liubinskas has maintained a dignified silence on what happened. However, this Facebook post gives a fair insight into what he is thinking.

“This is what you get when politics in football clubs kicks in,” he wrote alongside the picture above.

I would say that todays crowd had more to do with the covid outbreak then anything else.

Were there restrictions?

No

I was standing under the Old Grandstand last Night & was told to move, a group of about 25 were near me but weren't told to move, so figure that out.

Yeah, I'd love to know too.

Back in the day when we could put a few wins together the split between ANZ ,LO & CSS wasn't a bad decision but how times have changed we should go back to to even split of games between LO & CSS or even take a few more games to the country (nothing like a road trip)😂😂😂😂😂

Sure why not, basketball has the Globetrotters, nature had the Leyland Brothers, we are there in spirit, we just haven't made it official.

More like the Washington Generals:

The Washington Generals are an American basketball team who play exhibition games against the Harlem Globetrotters. The team has also played under several different aliases in their history as the Globetrotters' perennial opponents.

The Generals exist primarily as a part of the Harlem Globetrotters' act, effectively being stooges for the Globetrotters. While the Globetrotters play tricks and spectacular displays of skill for the crowd, the Generals attempt to play a "normal" game of basketball. The Generals' games involve playing genuine basketball at times, but also not interfering in the Globetrotters' tricks. Almost every game has ended in a resounding win for the Globetrotters. Despite their losses, the Generals' roster consists of relatively competent players. A recurring part of the act is the "guest General," where, for a short period, an invited person (usually a local celebrity) comes on court to play for the Generals. There can exist multiple teams of Generals simultaneously, each following different touring Globetrotters teams.[1]

I dunno much about Campbelltown, but from an outsider it looks like an untapped region. We should play more games there and increase our presence. Play our big games at Campbelltown - i.e. when we play Penrith, Bunnies, Dogs or Parra.

Get rid of our ANZ/Bankwest games where possible. Surely we must be close to not needing to rely on those grounds' money to support the club? Or are things quite dire? Between our other home games with the other Sydney clubs, there should be enough away games at Homebush and Bankwest for the people in the city to see us.

6 Campbelltown
3 Leichhardt (4 when Easter Monday is not our home game)
1 ANZ (Easter Monday)
1 Magic Round
1 Tamworth

Not sure I get this one home ground push. Would it really improve our win rate? Where’s South’s home ground? They don’t play at Redfern anymore.
I live in the Blue Mountains and don’t mind travelling to games. It’s all a big day (or two) out for me.
Supporting the team is the main thing. I really don’t care where we play. Although a ground with reasonable facilities would be nice.
