We get a penalty and Benji and Robbie spend what seemed an eternity trying to work out what the hell we are going to do.

There seems to be no cohesive structure whatsoever in our attack, no plans for a set of 6.

Two weeks in a row or forwards have had a real dig against much higher fancied packs and been let down by the playmaking

Yeah I have been seeing those sets where we stand around and pass it with no idea what we are doing. Then we either make a mistake or someone runs it forward a couple of metres and takes the tackle.

Couldn't help but notice that. Deep discussion about which side of the field to kick to, followed by a discussion on who should hit the ball up, who should pass, should it be a set play, maybe a show and go…The team looks too pedestrian in attack at the moment, and directionless. There are some sets in attack when the team simply looks lost and devoid of any sort of plan. The lack of a genuine 7 and 1 aren't helping matters.

I think you guys are reading way too much into this. You have to consider our 1, 6, 7 & 9 have been different every single game this year. That's going to disrupt any team. We need time to build partnerships and that hasn't been the case yet. The 1, 6, 7 & 9 should be the same next week for the first time and I think we should be a little more settled!

Doesn't matter who is playing 1 and 7, the side is controlled by two players. They've played together for years.

Smeg is 100% correct, we are a disorganised rabble at the moment.

Yes it does matter. Why do you think the Storm are so successful? Slater, Smith and Cronk have built up partnerships for years and know each other inside out. Do you think they would be as good as they are if there 1, 6, 7, & 9 kept changing every game of the year? You need time to gel as a team and we haven't been given a consistent opportunity to do that yet. On top of that our forwards aren't even giving us enough go forward to give us the chance to attack properly.

The Storm play a very structured game. We do not. Not comparable in the slightest.

The #7 is useless in our current structure. Marshall and Farah do everything. The 7 doesn't call any shots.

We have no clear structure and that is not due to injury, it is due to the ridiculous ad lib style we try and play.

Our 1, 6 & 7 played basically all last season together and we look terrible.

Widdop is good for the Storm as the extra man but Maurice Blair comes in when required and the structure still holds up

Couldn't help but notice that. Half the problem is they rarely have any field position and when they do they blow it

But you guys are right they waste the advantage of the penalty by taking an eternity to decide what they are going to do

Guys get on with it straight away , apply the blowtorch and test them more quickly Tired defensive lines make more mistakes than defensive lines that have had 30-40 second rests between plays A professional athlete can get his heart rate almost back to normal within 60 seconds rest

The 7 isn't useless. Without Lui in 2010 and 2011 we would have struggled. He gave us another option and steadied the ship for us. Wait until Humble gets a few more games under his belt and gets his hands on the ball a bit more.

Humble isn't a 7 so I'll be waiting for a long time.

This year we may as well not have a 7 on the field.

Humble is doing double what Moltzen was in the 7, so my theory that Moltzen was under instructions from Sheens to lay low looks to be - as usual - wrong

The only 7 we have at the club is sitting in NYC side and never seems to get a fair shot at top grade Why not play him behind our strongest pack we have had since Round 1

Say what you like about Rob Lui however we was a genuine halfback. We made the Top 4 the last 2 years with him as our starting half. This year we will be lucky to make the Top 8 like 2007-2009 when we had no halfback. Make of that what you will.

Lui offered a genuine playmaking ability alongside Farah and Marshall and set up plenty of linebreaks and try assists last year. Yes, his defence was poor, but he frequently had 2 to 3 times the amount of traffic directed at him when compared to Benji, so yes, he was always going to miss more tackles as a result. He had a decent kicking game too. It certainly wouldn't go astray at the moment, but it's all in the past now.

The loss of Lui is the number one reason we are playing like we are this year.

We miss his influence over a game more than Gibbs, Fifita and Folkes.

If my memory serves me correctly, Robert Lui played five-eight for Wests Tigers NYC in 2008 and 2009\. In the first round of 2010, he played half-back in Wests Tigers NRL side against Manly. At his age, he had to overcome the "control" that Marshall and Farah had over the team, before he showed his real ability and that did not take as long as you suggest.
The team misses him, but unfortunately for the team and him, he had some real problems off the field.
