One Week On......

Two years in a row we blew it at the end. Hope we dont go three on the trot next year! Running the ball and getting caught on the sixth in the lead up to the Warriors last try was REALLY dumb football. :crazy

I"m shattered, still haven"t got over it.Was never so confident about going all the way since 2005.

Lat time I felt this way was a a kid in 1980 when the Magpies were the best team all year and didn"t back up after beating Saints in semi and got hammered by Easts.

We really blew it this year and I"m stuck with GF tix for a game I have no interest in.

What i find is funny is the way the Telecrap and some of the TV channels are trying to get everyone on board to follow Manly now that WT and Saints are gone - they have to be kidding - i would find it more entertaining poking a stick in my eye than watching those scum win the GF - i didn't watch last nights game, won't be watching tonights or the GF - as far as i'm concerned the season finished last week.

it hurts because we would have beat melbourne just like the warriors did.

definitely don't want manly to win so c'mon warriors!

Don't quote me on it, but I'm fairly sure the NRL will refund the ticket if its returned. I heard it somewhere but not 100% sure.

Wise men say ,only FOOLS rush in.!!!

The bottom line = we absolutely 100% blew it and have no one to blame but ourselves.

Up 18-6 and cruising. We paid the price for a LONG culture under Sheens / Benji / Robbie of not respecting some opponents and not playing for the full 80 mins in games we "have under control".

We thought they couldn't beat us….......and now we have to sit and watch two teams in NZ and Manly play a GF knowing we completely destroyed both teams this season WHEN we concentrated and played our best.

I hope the players are all hurting and this is a turning point for our "half - half" type efforts. I doubt it though, as it just seems like this is the way it is under Sheens / Benji / Robbie and we have to accept it. Hot and cold footy, moments of absolute brilliance etc...........but ultimately only 2005 to show for it. This year's roster was a lot better than 2005 IMO, but people don't remember teams who came 5th.

I think we'd have beaten Melb. Any team with Adam Woolnough and Brian Noorie as its starting props was always going to be vulnerable. They are state cup at best. Outside of the big 3 they really lack any depth. Losing Blair was MASSIVE for them. IMO the Storm were gone the moment he was rubbed out for the season.

Us v Manly would have been 50 / 50.

I cant help but feel we absolutely wasted the season and a great opportunity.

If we had beaten the Warriors I think we would have refocussed and lifted enormously for the Storm and would have probably beaten them.

In saying all that I think we will come back a better team in 2012.

Here at the ground on GF day and still guttered that it's not Manly vs Wests Tigers.

Yeah I could easily see the tigers being able to contain some of the tries manly managed again the warriors. Would have been a good exciting grand final with a bit of black and gold in the mix.

Oh well.. that's it guys… 2011 is officially over. It's been a great ride, many tears and also many joys of being a Wests Tigers supporter this year, and the future looks to be very positive.

I say bring on 2012, and always remember GO THE MIGHTY WESTS TIGERS!

We were the last team to beat a full strength Manly :/

And the only team that was able to run them down when they lead at half time They won 15 from 16 when they lead at half time
