With the Roosters beating the Rabbits on the bell yesterday, our opponent will now be the loser of today's game Warriors (2) v Raiders (3) playing the Roosters next week to see who plays us. With the winner of today's game getting the week off & then playing the winner of the Dogs v Dragons in two weeks. Hopefully it will be like Friday & that both 20's games will be in Sydney on Saturday week before the Dogs FG game & we don't have to play on Friday week in Melbourne, so we can at least have some fans there to cheer the boys on. Lovett appeared to pick up a rib injury on Friday, so hopefully he'll be right to go in two weeks, as for mine he was our best forward the other night. It's a shame about FG not making the semi's but at least we can still get our WT fix watching the 20's on foxtel.

Another cracker of a game with Milford from the Raiders kicking a field goal with 15 seconds to go to win it. Twice the Raiders skipped out to a 16 point margin but the Warriors were leading by 6 until the 77th minute when the Raiders scored & converted to lock it up. So we will now play the winner of the Warriors v Roosters & the Raiders will play the winner of the Dogs v Dragons

From twitter two hours ago from wests tigers has us playing the winner of warrior/ roosters on the Friday night at 5:15pm at AAMI park Melbourne.
Bit of a joke really considering Canberra would be traveling regardless but potentially two Sydney based teams could be flying to Melbourne to play.

Surely once it's decided and if it's tigers v roosters then the game will be played on the Saturday triple header like last Friday.

Bummer, I was hoping both 20's game's would of been played at Homebush on Saturday week before FG like they did on Friday.

I hope the Warriors win. The Roosters totally have the wood on the boys.

So did the Bulldogs up until last Friday night. Tigers can definitely beat the Roosters if they roll their sleeves up in defence.

To be the premiers you have to be able to beat anyone in the comp

Hopefully the boys fear no one and go all the way

Might put a bright light on a woftam of a season

Change of date and venue for NYC

Change of date and venue for NYC

ANZ Stadium will host an NYC Preliminary Final double-header as part of a blockbuster Telstra Premiership Finals day in Sydney next Saturday, September 22.

The NRL today moved the clash between Wests Tigers and the winner of the Warriors-Roosters match from Melbourne to Sydney to assist the competing clubs and their fans.

“There was agreement between the competing clubs that it would be best for them and their members if the match was played in Sydney and we are grateful to Fox Sports and ANZ Stadium for supporting that move,” NRL General Manager of Football Operations Mr Nathan McGuirk said.

“Wests Tigers have already qualified for the match and their opponents will either be the Sydney Roosters or the New Zealand Warriors, who would have to travel regardless of the venue, so it makes sense to play that game in Sydney.”

And then there was four teams left. Tigers v Roosters & Raiders v Dragons. The Roosters best players IMO are their starting props Evans & Nappa, their hooker Blackwell, their fullback Schek & their centre Arona. An interesting stat in all the semi's in the 20's is that the underdog has won every game.

Well they have flogged us twice this year by plenty so let's hope the underdog' trend continues. Speaking of which the Dogs also beat us twice this year and we won the one that really counted

Anything can happen in finals and our boys have every chance of winning BUT they must get the early jump on the Roosters, shut down the likes of Rona, Martin, Jacks, Napa, Evans and Noble, complete their sets with a good 5th tackle option, attack the line with speed, hold up strong in defense and play 80mins of footy! Which will be a challenge as we haven't seen consistent footy from the Tigers all season!
They can do it, third time lucky!!!
GO THE TIGERS!!!
