Opposed Training session

If this is a sign of things to come in 2014…it's going to be a long year...

Same as 2013...big holes up the middle, plenty of jumper grabbing and no D.

This video **does not** inspire hope WT!….

Please how the hell can you tell ANYTHING from that.

Its a nothing video that has no meaning to anyone other than the coach and the players.

Dont be a hater.

if you say so mate.

there could be a MILLION reasons for that. They could have been training for hours and taken those linebreaks as highlights, they might have been instructed to run a play in ordder to test farah's dummy half run against some cover defence, they might be playing 13 vs 11 to take the high number of tackles out of the session (and prevent injuries).

no conclusions can be drawn from that imo.

Who scored the 70 metre try in the 3rd last play in the video ??

The running style doesn't look familiar

Pretty sure it was Austin

I think he was pretty close to it…

He never seemed overly big though, maybe he has trimmed down hopping to snag the 5/8th spot.

probably dropped 3-5kg for the season on either potter's instruction or his own feeling about where hed be better.

paterson looks like he has some slickkk hands and a handy offload.

if taupau, woodsy, galloway and co. can get us on the front foot then i would LOVE to see that 20 out, a neat flick offload to teddy and split em up the middle.

A big part of the reason Penrith let Austin go was Dietary (weight - Junkfood)

If he's trimmed down & kept it off, that's a great sign.

Yes Austin deliberately lost weight to focus on playing 6 or 7\. At current weight he is no longer an option in the backrow. I have a feeling about this guy if he gets a chance

X2

He's got a bag full of skills yet theres still a crapload of development in him too I think….defense is my only concern with him, as it is with our entire squad

That was definitely Austin. Koro was hard after him in pursuit but just had too much ground to cover coming from the other side of the field. Mr T looked very powerful which was no surprise - I'd really like to see him put pressure on the regular FG players and hopefully get a run this year. Wouldn't read too much into the defence at this point. They're not going to try and bash one another senseless up the middle. This would be more about timing and simulating gameday plays.
