Opposed Training session

Can somebody please provide a solid explanation on what is going on with Brooks? Is he likely to play round 1?
Im not convinced that we can make do with Anasta or Austin at 7.

As for the training video. It's just a training video. Could be that we have actually become so amazingly good in attack that we made our defense look weak. Could be that all the players smoke a few cones for the fun of it….unless you are the coach you cany really make a call

I belie full contact for brooks begins at the end of the month… So almost now.

Potter wishes to use him in the trial if ready.

That picture of Austin the head shot of him at penrith last year I think. If u Google his name its likely to come up… Well he was a beef cake in that picture he must hate always seeing it.. his lost a lot of weight.

I read somewhere that Austin has really focussed on his fitness this off-season. If you follow him on Instagram, you'll see him doing a weekly session every Saturday morning with a bunch of guys around Coogee I believe. See the link below

i love that hunger!!

It's an opponent training session dude. They don't have the physicality of a real game. Defenders don't go in hard with the shoulder etc. it's basically league 'lite' or a glorified game of oztag.

The coaches don't want to risk injury so as a defender you basically just hold the player with the Ball and lead him to the ground.

Its more about building combinations more than anything else

Defence will be all about our attitude , if we can go into games with the right attitude defensively we will improve greatly

This will be one of the good things about Marshall leaving , we can't go into games thinking that Benji might get us out of this or we will 38-36

Doesn't he what? Impressive stuff. Strikes me as one who will do anything it takes to get there.

A bloke I work with is mates with Blake's family and said that Cleary wasn't a great communicator with the players. Wouldn't give feedback on what they had to do to improve or change their game. Seemed very distant with Blake and was one of the motivating factors behind his move.

probably more because blake was NSW Cup or on the outter than an indication of Clearly's communication ability imo.

If this is a sign of things to come in 2014…it's going to be a long year...

Same as 2013...big holes up the middle, plenty of jumper grabbing and no D.

This video **does not** inspire hope WT!….

It should also be noted that half of the top 17 are on one side and the other half on the other. Combine the two top halves together and it will be a very competitive side.
