Woodsie and Farah were unreal.

That filth Hodges…..dumped Farah on his head and injured him and he played on with one arm.

I would pay 20k to see someone smash that filth in the face!

Have to agree/ Farah and Woods both great tonight. I suspect that there is a lot more going on with Robbie's shoulder than he was letting on and he still made 62 tackles! Woods, Klemmer, and Tamou a formidable trio expect to see them in the Blues for many years to come.

NSW were always going to be tougher at home too. QLD are in the box seat. Worst case scenario they're forced into a decider on home soil. In saying that though, the sides are pretty even except for the halves. NSW have no halves, not even any depth there. Pearce is out of his depth at this level. I've said all along and will continue to say that the only reason NSW won last yr was cos of Cronk's injury, it absolutely killed their chemistry. He's back, and they are near unbeatable.

Anyone bagging Woods and Farah on their performances tonight have an agenda…simple as that...

Our 2 wingers were hopeless as was Jennings all 3 should be dropped along with Fifita

I thought the refereeing was ordinary against both sides , some of the calls just had everyone we were with scratching their heads

As happens in lots of games , one team dominated possession

Just makes you wonder if the possession was reversed what would of been the result ??

Woods had his best game for NSW ,Dugan looked the goods at time , but the halves experiment didn't work in my opinion

Qld's forwards did the job , outplayed the NSW's younger and bigger forwards and Thurston was definitely the difference

Inglis probably had his worst game in a Qld jersey

Now NSW have a dilemma , they broke a series winning halves combination and lost

What do they do now ?? Change or stick with Pearce and Hodgkinson ??

Has Woods ever made a decent hard big tackle? The type of tackle that rocks someone. He might have a decent motor but there just isn't anything hard in him like Matt Scott or James Graham.

Agreed he has about as much aggro as Ned Flanders.

It's not his go. He is in the side to eat meters in attack.

Hmmmn… last post got zapped...

Lets put it this way, Woods is a good forward, very good at what he does, though to be great, you need to mix the class with aggression. I thought later in his first half stint he seened to find a little, though for the most part, he is soft on collision both ways

From watching tonight, I reckon this
- the refs are on commission from KFC for continually referring obvious try"s to the KFC sponsored video ref
- how many times does it take to show that 5 x 1off charges and an aimless bomb is a pathetic game plan (JT note)
- the continuing saga of so called " legends" playing to a separate of rules that the pathetic, inept refs fall into line always.
- the continual oversight by the 9 commentary wankers and officials of foul play by smith,Slater,Hodges. Head slams, chicken wings, second effort tackles to slow play the ball.
- obvious plan A of boring adinfintum hit ups with no fall back plans from a dud NSW coach.
- the continuing love affair between 9 commentators and the moroons is well and truly beyond a joke. Where is Roy and HG?
- if this is " the rugby league showcase" , LMFAO!

Farah is all courage these days, his ability has diminished significantly for mine. And his football smarts have deserted him. Last year of origin for him.

State of Origin is all about courage. Robbie has more than most. Until he cant handle the eighty or unless that injured shoulder gets the better of him cant see him going anywhere too soon.

Reynolds is as much a half as Pierce is… meaning that neither are mentally capable of reading neverlone closing out a game for 80 mins, both good defensive halves though. Hodgkinson was set, though Pierce put his hand up as first receiver then put the ball past him for a Jennings kick for 7 tackle restart.

Bar outside backs and Fafita, we didnt look as out of sort as other years. I would look for organisation. Pierce has had his chances and choked on them.

Totally mind numbing game - we ll the second half at least. What a sham. Also totally with you on the commentators. How on earth Sterlo can say Slater was bracing for contact from Dugan is beyond me. As for Fifita getting pulled up for a chicken wing one minute then a maroon getting away with one a minute later - :wtf Hodges God I wish Hoffman smacked him one at the end. or better still - Klemmer. If there's a light at the end of the tunnel for NSW, it's the fact that they played abismal in the second half and got done by a single point. QLD are not that good. They're ripe for a total hammering. But the Blues need to get their freakin heads right. What a mess.

Does anyone else think it's time for jennings to be replaced? its not as is if he's bad but he just never really delivers, im still waiting for something special from him because he always gives the feeling like it's just about to happen but it just never does. He reminds me of joel cain or matt sears, always slipping or falling over and tackling himself.

No. He's had plenty of good games in the blues jersey and had some handy runs tonight.

Woods again proved that he is the best prop in Australia,
146 m from 16 runs, 42 T, 0 MT
Fafita did not deserve to be there, as demonstrated

Maybe he should learn how to pass from dummy half to the chest. Then again he only earns $1m per year so he is probably still learning

This

the commentating was just awful, awful….........Johns going on about the "soft penalty" given to the Blues in the last few minutes...........crickets when Robbie was backslammed, no "soft penalty" on JT either in those 10 minutes, the one where he went for the long range penalty goal.

The referring again was crap. Clearly, there is no 10 metre rule anymore, the amount of times, as the camera panned out, where players were clearly in front of the ref was ludicrous.

After the Wests v North Qld match, it was the most boring match of the season. Wests and North Qld were criticised for playing one out football, but that was basically what I saw last night in the first half.

The major difference for me personally was that in SOO, I couldn't care less who wins so I turned it off at halftime. Pointless match and a dated concept.
