Origin 1 *Live thread..

There was nothing wrong with Hodges tackle on Robbie or Dugan running into Slater.

Good to see the Sooky La La Choir in voice.

Keep up the good work. #qldwhitewash15

Farah is all courage these days, his ability has diminished significantly for mine. And his football smarts have deserted him. Last year of origin for him.

State of Origin is all about courage. Robbie has more than most. Until he cant handle the eighty or unless that injured shoulder gets the better of him cant see him going anywhere too soon.

Maybe he should learn how to pass from dummy half to the chest. Then again he only earns $1m per year so he is probably still learning
He earned his money last night - and please money that is earned by professional sportsman is a whole different conversation, You got your dig in at Farah - pats on the back to you.

Pretty boring game in the end. Woods and Farah were both strong which was good to see. NSW wingers were rubbish, I'd drop both and get Morris and Johnston in there for game 2\. I'd get rid of Cordner and throw Blake Austin on the bench and I'd flick Hodgkinson for Maloney.

Two papers rated him the best player for NSW, along with Woodsy. Must have been OK.

Wasn't that a joke :bash , our game has gone so soft . But Hodges tackle and Robbie was fine :unamused: .
Yeah whatever

Within the next 2 years we are going to see the following

1\. Dugan
2\. B.Morris
3\. Ferguson
4\. Jennings
5\. Josh Morris

and you still got Alex Johnston, Nofo while Q.L.D will be starting all over again, our halves are a worry maybe we can convert Shaun Johnson to a Blue nothing wrong with copying the Queenslanders

True but you could say the same about Smith - neither of them have the impact they had a few years ago. The halves - now there is a different story - Cronk and Thurston were outstanding and look as though they could play at this level for another few years.

Smith still has his brain working. Farah is devoid of everything but making a zillion tackles. No dummy half runs, no kicks, no setting the team up field position wise. Hes leaving that to others perhaps. Or maybe it doesn't cross his mind anymore. Just ordinary.

Watching again now the strip on Hodges was a bull penalty again …Yes Merrin had a hand on him but dropped of Hoffman took the ball one on one loose carry from the cat...

You cant strip the ball the moment 2 players have touched the attacking player

Farah was fine , didn't overplay his hand and tried to get good service to his backline , add no missed tackles into the equation and you'd give him an 8/10

I thoughts Woods was better though , his best game in the gammy blue jersey

Farah was one of NSW best.
NSW forwards were strong first 40 and comprehensively outplayed second 40…that's where we got you.

Im pretty sure you got us when that moron Pierce decided to spread the ball rather than play to Hodkinson for the field goal. That piece of individual brilliance ended up being kicked dead and the resulting 7 tackle set enough to march Qld back up field to pot their own.

The guy is an imbecile.

Personally think NSW should of tried kicking early in the count in the 2nd half

It was weird , NSW seemed content to be playing off the back foot in the 2nd half and lacked urgency to win the territory battle

It sort of went against the side they picked

After the Wests v North Qld match, it was the most boring match of the season. Wests and North Qld were criticised for playing one out football, but that was basically what I saw last night in the first half.

The major difference for me personally was that in SOO, I couldn't care less who wins so I turned it off at halftime. Pointless match and a dated concept.

This is NRL 2015 boring, boring, no enterprise play…. No wonder the fans are turning away

Looking at the first half alone, the only difference between last night's match and Wests v North Qld was that Morris was able to ground the kick for his try. Our winger couldn't on Saturday.

Pretty sure farah made a couple of runs atleast. Strangley years ago he was criticised and even dropped from origin for being the creative type at dummy half. Now he gets criticised for taking a back seat to his halves.
Nothing the bloke does is good enough for some.

With respect, that's absolute rubbish. He got dropped because he was terrible. But came back and went well. Last night, and for that matter all year, his attack has been lacking. He defended like a man possessed last night with a snookered shoulder, but attacking play wasn't there.
