On the scale of headbutts, they were 0.5/10. They were leans with slight contact at worst.
Both players come from top 2 teams, both players will be in SOO 3.
I’d be extremely disappointed if they were suspended for that.

Fittler was appointed into an era where there was enough talent in NSW to create a dynasty/culture and completely screwed it through poor selections and even worse game management. I'd argue this series is even worse than when Queensland dominated in the mid 2000's to mid 2010's because at least they had multiple generational talents coming through the ranks. NSW should have been in the middle of a dynasty but instead they're in shambles.
Fittler should have been sacked at half time for that coaching performance. That is without a doubt the worst coaching I have ever seen in a origin game.
Leaving Murray on the bench for 50 minutes while Cook at centre and just repeatedly gets targeted was baffling.
Cook was obviously their ‘secret weapon’ in attack which is why he started on the bench, and then the only touch he gets in the middle of the field he scores.
I hope people don’t take it out on Cook, he was abysmal but it’s not his fault he was playing at centre. Fittler should never coach another team again.
As a sidenote, imo probably Adam Reynolds would have absolutely cleaned up tonight. There were so many chances that went begging that he could have polished up and turned into points.

Agree they were light on but the NRL are big enough on optics. There’ll be a fine at least, possibly 1-2 weeks.

This is 100% correct. I remember saying in 2021 after game 2, QLD is in for a torrid few years as this Blues side is fairly young. This quickly changed after game 3 when it became apparent that the NSW depth and maybe also their hunger for victory wasn’t where it should be. QLD have an excellent ‘next man up’ mentality and they are absolutely ruthless when on top.
Since that game 2 flogging in 2021, instead of capitalising and beginning a dynasty, NSW have lost 5 from the next 6 games played.
Dare I say it, QLD look to be building our own dynasty with some excellent young talent playing superbly in 22 and 23. Remember we have left some very good players out of this squad this year and still won. NSW need to respond like we did in game 3 of 2021 or there could be trouble for them. There are no dead rubbers.
