New South Wales coach Brad Fittler has swung the axe and dropped five players for Origin III as the Blues desperately try to avoid their first series whitewash in 13 years.

After losing Game II and the series, Fittler has dropped Jarome Luai, Junior Paulo, Tyson Frizell, Hudson Young and Stefano Utoikamanu.

Payne Haas (ankle) and Tom Trbojevic (pec) are both out injured, but Jake Trbojevic (calf) returns after missing the opening two games.

The Blues have recalled Cody Walker, Clint Gutherson, Reagan Campbell-Gillard and Jacob Saifiti, while Bradman Best and Keaon Koloamatangi will make their Origin debuts.

I'm curious why the hate for JAC? He seems like a pretty likeable guy always laughing and not taking life too seriously. I don't think he should have been picked though. He had played 1 game after coming back from injury.

Should have been dropped imo, not half the player he was.
But Freddy has taken a bit of a who cares approach to this game, hasn’t he, a bit all over the place.
They might surprise but I’ve got to change my
opinion and say 3-0 to QLD.
