Origin Prospects for our boys

Hi Guys,

I Know Wests Tigers come first and a much needed win today, but do we agree, only possible chances for our guys to play Origin would be Galloway, Lawrence and maybe Woods ? I personally think Farah should be in the mix, But just feel he won't be given a go ( as unfair as that is). I feel the other 3 have a slightly better chance.

Is the City/ Country a genuine Trial ? As going by the test team named and the city and country sides named, you would think despite Lawrence's fairly average form, he's still easily in the mix for a Blues Centre position, as I feel he should be ahead of the other guys picked in City Country.. Does anyone else think this as well ??

What's everyone's thoughts ?? If he can turn it on and play solid to great in the city country he may have taken a giant step to cementing a birth ?

I'd dearly love to see at least one of Woodsy and Keith make the NSW bench also…

Oh and a big congrats to Robbie, Chris, Keith, Woodsy and of course Liam for making the city side!!!

Great win today boys and whilst Its So Important for the Tigers to win, It's always a great thing personally to make a rep side and usually can only improve them as players which in turn is a positive for the Wests Tigers. So Keep Goin'

Go Wests Tigers!

I think Keith will be there, but doubt Robbie and Woods will be there. Woods will be there next year. Baby steps for him. As for Lawrence - he doesn't deserve it at all….had terrible form this year. But he'll probably be there based on his defensive prowess

With both centre positions in the Aust team being Qlders you would think the NSW centres will come from the city/country sides - i'm thinking one of the Morris bros and matt king - unless ricky picks hayne in the centres and one of the morris boys on the wing. Lawrence will need a couple of good games from here to be in the mix - personally i think he is playing injured.

I would say Lawrence is in the mix. With Jennings injured I think Josh Morris will be one of the centre's, the poor form of some of the other centre's may get Lawrence over the line with Idris and Matt King (I don't think he should be in the mix anyway) being quiet at times.

I think Keith will get a bench spot, I am almost certain Farah won't be there, as unfair as it is I think Ennis, Buderus, Hinchcliffe and Dean Young are all in front of him.

Woods is a no-no, they tried a young prop last year with Merrin and he hasn't quite kicked on yet. Plus in front of Woods there is probably Weyman, Galloway, Snowden, Merrin, and Gallen (As a front rower). Maybe even Luke Douglas as well who seems to be a forgotten man up on the Gold Coast now.

I think Lawrence is our only chance.

I can see the prop rotation for NSW coming from the likes of Gallen, Weyman, Tamou, Merrin or Mannah. Sauce hasn't played enough football this year - yet.

Jazza I think De Gois is ahead of Robbie as far as SOO selection is concerned Not my thoughts but Ricky Stuart could do anything

Lawrence is probably the best shot, although IMO based on form this year he is the least deserving out of Galloway, Woods and Robbie.

With Lawrence and Galloway in form, then yes, they should be selected for Origin. On current form though I wouldn't have chosen Lawrence for City, and I've always enjoyed watching him play. Sauce is still winding up after only playing 3 matches this season, but he'll handle it against the Maroons.

That might be true although it is hard to say considering De Gois is injured at the moment.

Sticky also did get rid of De Gois for Corey Hughes when he was at the Sharks

I think Farah's getting back into some form but probably won't be considered unless he's really red hot. in the next few weeks or in City/Country. Looks like they're likely to pick Buderus for the Blues, which is a mistake I think.

Lawrence is way out of form and shouldn't be picked.

Galloway would need to find a bit better form as well if he wants a Blues spot.

Woods is a matter of when, not if, for the Blues, but probably won't get picked this year

I hope Lawrence doesn't get picked, on his current form he'll have a horror and never get picked again.
